Wow, I didn't think we'd see something like this. Actual story! Romance! Dead bodies! I am so hyped!

Oh well, that's what you get when you compose thread topics like they're essays.
In any case, TF2 is in for one hell of a content update, possibly the largest one yet. Given what we've seen in the past, that's positively mind-blowing. Best of all, it's free!

To be perfectly honest, the thing I got the most excited about this first day was
Ms. Pauling and her role in the short. I always liked her in the comics, but her SFM debut was nothing short of spectacular. Props to Valve for making a great female character that fits right in with the boys.
just watched it, literally the best short Valve has ever made, i laughed so freakin' hard, the soldier is amazing
Well, I guess I would be ok that they never made Half Life 3 if they simply focused on making a season of this. It really has that morning cartoon show feel to it since it focuses on just some characters of the cast (Sniper and Pyro barely were present), other episodes would be about the others, etc...
With that said some parts of it felt a bit too... lame, I guess, a bit on the expected.

This is only Day 1. They'll be showing more of the update bit by bit over the next few days leading up to release. Also, this update has been teased for years, with mysterious bread references popping up in various promo materials. The last time Valve did something like this was for Mann vs. Machine mode, which was one of the largest updates in TF2's history. Some of the weapons in the short are not in the game, indicating that they're probably going to be added for this update.josemlopes said:
