New to the forums

Hello everybody, i've not been active on any forums really since about 4 years ago on xbox.com, but the ones I have been a member of generally have an introduction section, couldn't see it anywhere, so my apologies if this is in the wrong place ect...

My name is Kelvin and i'm a lab tech from Lincoln, UK.
I am 34 years young and have an 8 year old daughter called Brodie who is just getting into gaming with her 3DS (she loves Animal Crossing).

I myself game on my 360 and Xbox One and my main games that I play are NHL14, BF4 & Titanfall at the moment. I wouldn't say I was any good but I only play for my own fun and team objectives ( I jump on that grenade often).

The escapist is a rather nice place but has an abundance of cynicism and passive aggression at times. If you plan on being super regular, join a user group to recharge... Or just don't look at feminism threads. That is a viable option too xD

Its a place you join with other users and talk about stuff.... Equal parts gang and insane asylum!

I recommend the brovengers or the Injustice League. Also the forum games group like barbas said as well as the Lardy Bits

Yeah I got sick of all the conflict at xbox.com years ago, this seems to be a better place to be around (i've been lurking for a few days) and even when people are falling out it seems quite tame in comparison, though im sure it has it's brief moments...

My GT is I Toejam I if anybody wants to add me for a few games, I tend to be around mostly at weekends.

Hey, if I was to push any new poster somewhere, it'd be the groups. The main forums are full of the same pointless dreck too often, in my opinion.

Thought I was super popular this morning when I signed on to see an inbox of 100+ messages! Nope, just everybody chatting in the groups...oh well. lol

Thanks for the heads up on the forum rules, I have read them but even so, after reading a few threads I keep seeing people with huge post counts being banned for seemingly nothing, ie the post is greyed out and underneath it sais what they have been banned for but the post itself seems harmless. I get the final straw ect, but even the final straw itself doesnt seem like they did anything wrong? I'm sure i'll pick it up as I go along...

Just more Biebers... you get another badge if you press the red button many times but I don't know how many times you have to do it... not worth the pain in my opinion XD

You can turn those messages off. (Or just leave the group, that works too, if you find you don't use the groups feature very much)

You get used to that.

From what I've been told, if people are being banned for harmless things it's because of something that's happened behind the scenes that we can't see.
