So, I beat New Vegas today, YAY! But not the point. Before i got new Vegas I got Fallout 3 GOTY and i loved it. That spurred me to buy New Vegas, but the problem is when i got new Vegas i played as the same kind of character as i did in F3. It got boring even with all the new guns. So i got far into the game did quite a few side quests but it got boring doing the same thing i was doing in F3 so i decided to wrap it up by beating the game (W/ NCR)... So now i want to start a new game but i cant decide what kind of charectar i want to be, can you guys help me out? *LOOK BELOW FOR IMPORTANINT INFO*

Now as you know i Played the same type of charectar in NV as in F3 my Tags were;

Guns (Small guns)
Stealth
Lockpick

Persuasion (4th tag).

Mostly played as sniper/Machine gunner

Now i do not want to play anything near that, I was thinking perhaps unarmed, melee or Master Persuader, though i read some articles saying that Unarmed and Melee are a pain in the ass to play due to the fact of that you need to come up close the enemies quickly therefore you need light armor, but you're so close that if a deathclaw were to come by (And it will) you would be torn apart. Plus, there isn't much variety in unarmed...

Now master persuader is an interesting one, it's a non combat approach to the game.

So anyways what would you guys recommend? I'm sure you had more experiance in the game and had diffrent build then I and can reccomend some things before i do this.

ALSO, I AM GOING TO USE A GLITCH TO GET UP TO 28 PERKS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP4Bq3EFwhg
SO IF YOU WISH TO TELL ME SOME PERKS TO GET FOR A SPECIFIC PLAYING TYPE, FEEL FREE TO PUT UP TO 28

Use any perk which helps with criticals/sneak criticals, and beef up your luck, up to 6/7.
And try to use lever-action/ repeater guns.
That was the winning combo for me, and I sided with Yes Man, Screw everyone else!
Also, don't miss out on speech, even if you give 2/3 points with every levelup, as every little bit helps.

Play a drooling retard. Unarmed, Melee, and idk survival. The low INT options were done even worse in this game, you'll see "Me no scared" right next to the old "would you like to discuss the political and economic ramifications of said decision?" everyone else gets. But if you get into it and role play I find it to be hilarious.

My character build and perks (keeping in mind I don't use the glitch to get more):

SPECIAL:
STR 5
PER 6
END 7
CHA 1
INT 10
AGL 5
LCK 6

Tag skills: Guns, Sneak, Repair.
Traits: Four Eyes (-1 base PER, but +2 PER when wearing glasses), Small Frame (+1 AGL, -25% limb durability)

LV | Perk (requirements)
--------------------------
2 | Hunter (Survival 30)
4 | Educated
6 | Comprehension
8 | Hand Loader (Repair 70)
10 | Entomologist (Survival 45)
12 | Silent Running (Sneak 50)
14 | Jury Rigging (Repair 90)
16 | Better Criticals (PER 6, AGL 6)
18 | Weapon Handling
20 | Toughness I
22 | Toughness II
24 | Robotics Expert
26 | Finesse
28 | Bloody Mess
30 | Tag!

Fourth tag skill depends on how I've been advancing my skills throughout the game but usually ends up giving a final boost to Lockpick or Science to get it within magazine or Follower Lab Coat range of 100. Science 100 is particularly useful in the Brotherhood of Steel base at Hidden Valley because it allows the quest to be bypassed if you're going to blow it up. Get in, hack terminal, use Stealth Boy, and get the hell out.

I like Guns m'self. Playing sniper in Quarry Junction from the platform where the Khans are (approach from Vault 19) is just plain satisfying---and much safer than trying to go in via Sloan. And I never, ever get bored of a simple loadout, namely a Hunting Revolver/Hanlon's Ranger Sequoia for when the SMG would be a waste of ammo sprayed everywhere, a 12.7mm SMG for close combat and Cazador disposal (killed the Legendary Caz like it was nothing), a Sniper Rifle with the suppressor for quiet kills, and the "fucking scoped hand cannon" (aka the Anti-Materiel Rifle) for dealing with things like Deathclaws, Lakelurks, and Fire Geckos from a distance.

I suggest grabbing unarmed/melee weapons and related perks and start falcon punching.

I suggest downloading a mod so you get a perk every level instead of every 2. Makes it much more open for customization.

Try a melee/unarmed character. In New Vegas, they're quite powerful. And, if you're feeling evil, you can side with Caesar's Legion and reap the full benefits of that play style.

Or hone your sniper character to maximize sniping power. (Take it from a guy who one-shot'd Legate Lanius.)
