New XCOM Video

So wait...this isn't that FPS XCOM game?

What happened to that, then?

Nobody has heard from it in months. In fact, all the recent XCOM threads on this forum have been about the TBS one, nobody is even mentioning the FPS anymore.

I'm guessing it's still quietly in development; it's just that 2k is waiting for the TBS to come out first due to the tons of negative feedback regarding the FPS when it was first announced. That way, they revive the franchise with the TBS and then come out with a spinoff/prequel FPS.

For some reason, this game was billed as a FPS? But it clearly is a TBS.

Did I confuse this game with another thats coming out?

Anyway, extremely pleasantly surprised by that video and I will be preordering once I get paid XD

From what i've seen, the console controls work really well, with just enough "snap-to" to stop the cursor being too fiddly.
