Hi guys,
I think it would be awesome to see your wishes. Forgive me if I am new at posting on the Escapist. Do not shoot! :D

My wish for new year is everyone to find joy and fun in little things that help us "escape".
I hope we get more awesome games with compelling story as we had this year.
And I hope XCOM gets the multi-player it deserves, I have so much fun doing friendly custom matches, sometimes it does feel like a chess game humans vs aliens. Hope they fix the bugs and more people will get interested to play. And please an official map-editor and mod tool!

What is your wish? :)

I wish that my long anticipated conquest of the Escapist will finally take fruition next year and all Escapists, even you Tzzimy, will kneel in fear of my malevolent glory. Oh and I also wish that I'll be able to find a job in 2014 :p

Poor health and my final year of university have completely destroyed my ability to dedicate time to gaming, so my wish is that my glorious return to my favourite hobby (in June when I graduate) will be every bit as awesome as I imagine it will be :)

Also hello and (belated) welcome!

To be able to leave my job soon. I really can't until my cat passes away, though, because I'd like to move and he's old and unhealthy. Except I'm that 30-year old single librarian woman so my cats are my children and I don't want him to die. So I'd like him to perk up quite a bit so he's healthy enough to make the trip. And that my parents can find the time to come out here as they'll be the ones taking him in an RV to ease his stress. So hopefully my parents find a new home quickly as they're moving late spring.

Or that I win just enough in the lottery to leave work for the few months.

I don't 'hate' my job... it's just something I'm so tired of doing that I don't actually do it anymore, and I hate myself for that.

For happy things, I just want to be able to move soon, easily, and comfortably, and find work in a reasonable amount of time.

You are forgiven.

My wish for New Year's is multi-layered. I'm 2 finals and a thesis short of getting my second and final degree, and it'd be nice (i.e. proper) to move on from that stage of my life. While I do have a (part-time, hipster bullshit) job I'd like to get something a little more substantial this year. That's serious me in a nutshell.

Now for the fun parts, I wanna cut my PS2 backlog by half and finally get me some PS3 titles I've been missing as far back as 2007. And I fully intend to get these dirt cheap, dammit, even though my country's economy is fucked as fuck and I may have to smuggle 'em in the near future from abroad.

New Year's wishes in a nutshell:

- Find a better job
- Get a date
- Join a gym without panicking from the sight of super muscular guys and lot ladies in yoga pants (haven't done that yet because I've never *been* in a gym before)

I wish to get rid of that flab by my waste, and to finally get a life.

I'd be nice if I could get some friends and a girlfriend too, but let's not overreach.

Oh yeah, with the whole end of university thing I should probably also wish for the ability to walk straight into a good job and a nice place to live, ideally with some of my friends.

Crap, it's only just dawning on me that it's going to be a seriously big year...

I'm wishing that I get asked to stay on in my job as it's the best place I've ever worked and it's easy and the people aren't utter cunts. Once I get that I can do whatever I like.

I want peace of mind. Just that. To feel like all is well with the universe. And raspberry flaky puffs. And peace of mind. With gin and peace of mind and all is right with the universe and raspberry flaky puffs. That's about it. That works. Have a great New Years all.

What else? To win the lottery of course!

Well ok on a more realistic side, I would like to get another job. Even without the bad manager I got at the moment, I think it's high I start looking elsewhere anyway since I will be working there for nearly two years now and I dodn't indeed to be sales assistant forever!

Cash would be nice. And maybe a jet pack. Definitely a jet pack... I like to keep things simple you know? It's the little things in life.

I went to get my hair trimmed a few weeks ago, and the baraber (contrary to my instructions) proceeded to cut off most of my hair. I was rather upset, to say the least. So I guess my wish this year is to get my long, flowing hair back. It's naturally occurring so it won't take much effort on my part, but still.

I'll just join this column... *shuffle-shuffle*

Although I did lose 10kg in 2013 already, so I can scratch that off my to-do list. :)

Edit: Oh, and happy New Year, everyone!

My wish is to stop living in the past and do something meaningful with my life. I've been trying to do it step by step, but the stairs turned out to be longer than I thought they would be. Maybe the rush of a new year will motivate me to walk up a little faster.

Everyone else's: Lose weight

Other: Create facade of monotone, deadpan pseudointellectual who doesn't care in order to create shell from outer world

Final: Get out more.

Mine is that I have a pretty good year while trying to make friends. I officially start college in the fall, so that's going to be a whole new environment for me.

Also that Ubisoft doesn't push back Watch_Dogs again.
