Every year at New Years I can never enjoy it because for some reason it just makes me upset. No big tragedy happened at this time of year that makes me think or have reason to be upset, I just unnaturally am.
I am legally old enough to drink but as most of you will know - if you are generally unhappy then alcohol amplifies that emotion, it doesn't exchange it for happiness which therefore negates the purpose of new years eve to go and get smashed out of your face.
I don't really know what I want any of you to do about it, as simply put there isn't. It just sucks around this time for me. So thanks for listening and thanks Escapist for letting me share.
I was going to post this on one of the social networking sites that I use but the problem with that is, that all my friends use it too and I generally don't like sharing too personal a thing with them.
