Well, this current show is basically the forth generation of Ponies, and are very different then all the generations prior. It's exsecutive producer and main creative designer is Lauren Faust, best known for her work on the Powerpuff girls. The new one has much better writing, much funnier jokes, and FAR more interesting characters.

Oh, and all the Youtube videos (if you have a Youtube account) says each video are the most popular with the following demographics...

Males: 13-17

Males: 21-25

Males: 40-47
