So a female version of a combination of Squall from Final Fantasy 8 and Yuna from Final Fantasy 10-2 teams up with a version of Vergil from DMC3...
I'm not familiar with either but I find it interesting that this trailer broadens the possible story line away from all the girls being single operatives. I wonder if Yellow will also have a partner or a team.

Unlike apparently everyone else here this was my favorite trailer. The first was nothing but a cliche anime girl slaughtering mobs of mooks with a ridiculously large weapon she pulled out of her g-string. The second was more interesting in that it suggested White lives/exists in 2 worlds simultaneously.

This trailer offered the first tell tale signs of an actual "Story".

Also I liked the music here more than the other two.

Lessee, that's me vs 21 other posts...

...

Come at me, Bros!

I really liked the visuals, and the combat animations made me pretty excited. I went on to check out the previous two trailers, and they collectively gave me a Sucker Punch vibe, a movie I personally enjoyed.

The voice acting wasn't really great, unless they were going for the authentically bad dub..

This one loses points for the weak dub but the action and enemy design in this trailer is by far the best of the three.

It looks as good as the other trailers, but the voice acting just sounds... awful.

I REALLY hope that the acting improves for the series proper... I'm in love with the art style and animation. I really am. It'd be a shame if the voices just ruined it.

Also, a cool effect I noticed: as Blake speeds around the battlefield, she leaves afterimages behind, which makes it seem really... I dunno, speedy.

A sword holster that is a gun that shoots swords but still also shoots bullets.

That was my review.
Samual did it first. Or at least the idea of using a gun to fire the sword out.

Actually, I got a very MGR vibe from this trailer. Half expected Raiden to show up...

I feel like all the hype from the trailer is giving me a bad vibe; I hope no one takes offense to this but it just feels like there is such a thing as there being too much action, thus far, it seems like that's all they're focusing on. I'm familiar with the creator's work (Dead Fantasy, his segments in RvB, the Samus and Spartan battle) and he's always struck me as a bit flashy but light on substance. It's like bars of chocolate; sure, eating a lot of bars may seem appetizing initially but you get ill if you eat too many which makes most people stop. Likewise too many awesometacular fight scenes and things just start running together - I already have a feeling I'm going to fail to be invested in the series proper if this is all they're going to offer.

EDIT: Also, yeah, forgot to mention the voice acting. I pretty much agree with everyone else considering it felt really awkward IMO.

I'll take your jet-stream Sam and raise you a Gai Rei Zero...
Anyway, the more I watch, the more I see the shows anime and videogame influences. The characters are from BRS, the weapons are from FF, and the combat is an insane mix of ninja gaiden and DmC.
This creates some truly awesome fights, but I worry for the story...

yeah this ones the weakest of the 3 so far. I get the impression they rushed it out a bit to meet the PAXEast deadline or something. Since there was like 3-4 months between Red and White and what...maybe 1 month since white?

It still looks good but didn't really impress me like the other 2 did. Blake's weapon seems less streamlined then the Scythe-Rifle or Magic-Rapier. So its a double-sword-gun-on-a-rope-thing...not as flashy as the others, ESPECIALLY when the katana/gun-sheath from the other dude over shadows it.

And yeah the voice acting is meh, but that just supports the "this was rushed" thing

Still yet to see anything at all regarding RWBY (Worst title ever by the way) that interests me in the slightest. A standalone series made primarily by Monty Oum, the man who ruined Red Vs Blue? No thanks.

Oh God. Dialogue. Also, voice acting.

Also, I have a question:

WHAT IS IT?

Am I looking at the trailers for an anime or a hack-and-slash game? Or something else?

Yes, I think you guessed correctly. Or to be more precise, it's going to be some sort of series that takes heavy hints from anime and from fighting games and...that's all I know about it. The creator's previous works include Haloid [http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/nd19nu/metroid-prime-haloid] (Halo vs Metroid) and the Dead Fantasy [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIy5Q3EB6ec] series (Dead or Alive vs Final Fantasy). I think they aren't a huge deal different from RWBY (ok, trailers alone) it just leans more towards video games. RWBY, from what I know, is supposed to also have stuff like plot.

Ah, that would explain why I guess I didn't like it, I wasn't a fan of Haloid, and this just didn't click for me.

That was...kinda shit compared to the previous two.

The music was meh
The voice acting was just...bad...

and why was the guy taking the spotlight from black? The previous two could stand on their own but Black needed backup for some reason?
Because it's Beauty and the Beast.

To be totally honest, I expected Black to have an evil side and that would be beast, but even this duo wasn't wholly unexpected.

White is still my favorite trailer.

Black's voice actor was pretty good, but the mask guy's sounds like a bad abridged voice actor.

The voice acting for the guy was pretty rough. Definitely trying too hard. But I don't know if Adam will be a large fixture of the series or not (maybe a villain?), so it may or may not be a significant factor in the actual show. The rest of it was pretty good. Still want to see more.

My first impression was this is waaaay too red. If anything it's possibly even more red then the RED trailer. Like I know it can't be all black(that would make things hard to see) but it was definitely too red for a "Black" trailer/character. Like least in the RED trailer them showing a lot of red makes since since she was slicing up a bunch of living creatures that would obviously bleed, but here they're fighting all robots, where black would've actually been made more sense. Oh yeah I decided to watch the RED trailer again, and it's really white to give the red a chance to stand out, which I'm guessing they tried to do the same here but didn't work out nearly as well.

The voices was ok, not great but not too bad either. The talking however wasn't all that necessary. Really most of the lines didn't need to be said at all, they just needed them to say a reason to split the two up. (the whole one is willing to kill innocent bystanders and the other isn't thing) Which makes me wonder why have them as a pair to begin with.

Speaking of which not a big fan of the guy either since he took up too much of the spotlight, mainly by saving Blake like twice and getting the killing blow off the boss whom she wasn't all that useful against. Made her feel like the sidekick when it was supposed to be her trailer, especially since it felt like he was in charge of whatever mission they were doing.

The music was interesting, different from the other 2 which is good for variety sake.

And I have no idea how her weapon works, is it gun boomerang whip thing that she can use to cut things while somehow still pulling the trigger to shoot stuff? I guess it's a neat idea but hard to see since it's small and moves really fast.

Overall this is probably my least favorite trailer of the 3. Still great work but I don't think I'll be rewatching it nearly as many times as I did the other 2.

I thought the guy fought like kinda my fursona does...minus the gun sheathe, my fursona don't have that.

The trailer was really good in my opinion. The voice acting was meh, but it's nice the bring a little more 'plot' into it. I eagerly await Yellow.

The whole idea of this series is terrible. Honestly, they should not have let Monty be in charge of the writing. The second I heard that I thought "Wow this is going to be horrible, overly 'cool', insanely cliched, and will try to get by on it's anime style."

Turns out I was right on the money. Each trailer gets worse and uses more cliches. I couldn't believe how bad the dialogue was in this trailer. It seems like the only thing this series will do well is the design of the weapons for the characters. Which is purely superficial and can't salvage an entire webseries.

the whole thing looks like bad fanfic with a budget behind it.
