I'm feeling voice control may come back, in JRPGs and in Shooters where you can shout orders to your underlings. I would kind of enjoy it.

possibly a system that utilizes the residual electrical messages from your brain to discover your cravings and taunt you with them when you die, repeatedly because you're distracted by your cravings

Realistically, I think this will likely become a reality soon.

I think Milo on Natal will be the next big advance, it could revolutionize the AI in every videogame after it. Think about it, in an FPS you could actually give real orders to your allies.

Hopefully, while I'm still alive someone develops virtual reality technologies.

That's what I think, except the whole "Milo" part.

I'd love to see dynamic games, games that are programmed to actually improvise with your input. L4D is a step in the right direction with the AI director.

Nothing.

Gaming right now is brilliant.

VR:

Ok, if you cannot immerse your self into gaming already then you are a noob and will never experience gaming truly.

MindControl:

"NIR"
Google it, then buy it, then notice how failed the idea is and finally retreat back to your guild on WOW and tell them how I am a nerd.

Dynamic Games:

"Garry's Mod"
Google it.

AI:

Ok, obviously your an offline gamer if you believe AI to be a step in right direction. Get a T1 line!

*Retraction*:

There is one thing that would make gaming better, the ending of the human race, this would mean that gaming would no longer be a quest for money and its development would triple. To throw a spanner into the works here without us would gaming exist ?

Dunno how it would work, but using electrical signals from your brain to move characters and have them perform simple tasks (Pick up apple, put hat on head etc) then build it up from there
