After SMT X FE, IS should make a new Fire Emblem game where your army is a pirate crew on the high sea's. The Fire Emblem should be the treasure they're looking for, which in this game, is an all powerful stone that grants the discoverer one wish. I already have a list of basic unit idea's already.

Sari (voiced by Janice Kawaye): The captain of this pirate crew and the "Lord" of the game. She dreams of one day finding the Fire Emblem on The 5 Tails Sea to save her now destroyed village. Like Chrom, Marth, and Alm before her, Sari weilds Falchion which she always carries with her wherever she goes. She's energetic, stern, and has a big heart.

Welt (voiced by Antony Del Rio): A kind hearted boy who dreams of sailing accross the world. After being saved by Sari from some brigands, he joins Sari's crew as her trusty navigator. he's kind of like the Avatar from Awakening, only not well, an avatar. The Navagator class is the same as the tactician class in Awakening as well.

Largo (voiced by Fred Tatiscore): Sari's first crew member and the obligatory pre-promoted Great Knight class you get at the beginning of every Fire Emblem game. He's a gruff and tuff man who joined to be the worlds strongest Knight. He sees his Captain as "a carefree idiot who thinks any situation we're in is fun" even though Sari is a stark contrast on the inside.

Nelven (voiced by Michael Sorich): A "Narley" Cavalier who speaks with a stereotypical California surfer accent with words like "bro" and "rigous". He joins the crew to one day find "The High Tide", a HUGE wave in the middle of The 5 Tails Sea that only comes every 100 years. He also always chases any woman he finds "worthy".

Vanilla (voiced by Hynden Walch) An obsessive complusvive "Neat-Freak" Mage who despises filth and clutter and has an uncontrollable urge to "tidy up" anything that looks a mess in her eyes, this includes killing brigands. She joins the crew to find "The Great White" the last great white whale of it's species. She also likes to sing, and is very good at it.

Milly (voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey): A super-super nice Cleric who believes in doing the right thing and doesn't believe in weapons or combat, hence why she's a Cleric. With a constant habit of saying "sorry" and a psychological disability to say "no", Milly is often described as "too nice". She's reluctant to join Sari's crew because she believes all pirates are the same. But Sari explains that not all pirates are bad and heartless thus, she joins. Milly's reason for joining is to find her long lost brother who she promised to find on The 5 Tails Sea.

Angel (voiced by Michelle Ruff): A heavy drinking Pegasus Knight who would gulp any alcoholic beverage she can get. She loves to party and will get anyone to drink with her when she wants to. She joins the crew to be the richest girl ever. The most skilled billards player.

Jack (voiced by Roger Craig Smith): A cool and calm Archer who is also the crews cook. He dreams of one day winning the world cook tournament which is why he joined the crew. The most likely to get sea sick.

Julia (voiced by Lara Jill Miller): A wise cracking, sarcastic thief with a thirst for cash and an aditude to match. She constantly tries to scam her crewmates to make a quick buck, but they almost always fail. She joins the crew to find The Sacered Jewel, a stone that's said to be worth millions. The most likely to break the 4th wall.

Vivian (voiced by Laura Bailey): A mysterious and paranoid Myndron bounty hunter who hates Pirates & joins Sari's crew as part of an undercover job to one day kill Cassen, a vicious pirate who killed her parents. Vivian dress in all black and isolates herself from the rest of the crew. The most silent crewmate.

Jaff (voiced by John DiMaggio): A strong, but not very smart Fighter who loves hitting things with his axe. He often thinks before he acts and prefers brute force rather than actual tactics. He joins the crew to find The Ultimate Axe, which is said to possess a power so mighty that that it instantly kills anyone who even lays a finger on it. The worst at talking to women.

For my non existing love of Yahweh. When you start a "Let's design a game..." thread, make it your own idea. Don't plan the sequel, atleast without including radical gameplay changes. Planning a Open World Metro Life simulator, totally fine. Planning the next Fire Emblem, not without some new gameplay ideas.

Like Sea Monster Battles, or mongols on flying horses, or making it a Final Fantasy (NES era) game with TBS combat instead of normal JRPG combat (aka making a sequal to Gaiden).

Edit: Sea Sickness, that is a gameplay idea that can work.

In Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, they had a system called "fatigue" where the more a unit acted in combat, the more tired he'd get and if said unit was tired enough, would have to skip the next chapter. It was kind of interesting, but not that fun. I figure sea sickness would work like that.

Still, I get the feeling the mention of seasickness was a character trait, not a gameplay mechanic, given how the OP wrote it in the character description, in the same style as the FE:A character descriptions.

1) Aren't we supposed to work ideas of another in a "Let's design a game..." thread? You are suppossed to take one line and make it a greater idea.
2) I think it should be worked in as an effect of weather conditions. If you are on the bloody sea you need to get in a storm at one point (in fiction), can just as well make it a gameplay mechanic. Why not make some units weaker in harsh weather, but making spells stronger.
