I want to know what everyone else wants to see in the enxt Resident Evil game, since we know it's coming.

For Characters, I want Billy From Resident Evil 0 back, and maybe Ada. I don't want Wesker back as the enemy, because he maybe be alive, but I want someone were never expecting.

Gameplay, i want it top down like the older Resident Evil games (Code Veronica, 0, 2) and Maybe doing the same control scheme 4 and 5 gave us. I wouldn't be happy if they brought back the left is right, right is left controls.

Story, i don't want it being Umbrella again. I want it to psosible be BSAA again, or something like in the movies. I want betrayal by one character (Please, don't let it be Ada again) Possibly Billy even if they could make it cool.

So, what does everyone else want, and what might it be called?

What would be cool...
Two characters, yes.
Bill, maybe. Or Leon. They seem to do games with him pretty well.
The girl should because... Well... We don't want Chris's sister and Jill is overused.
Over the shoulder works if they work with it. The same scares that worked before won't work any more and they do need to work on the scares.
60% less ammo.
60% better plot.
2 story lines or one co-op, but you have a choice. They all should play a little differently.
I dunno. As long as they do what they did in 4 and fix what went wrong (everything) in 5 it would be worth buying in my book.

I want Leon. There has been far too much emphasis on the lame girls of the series, and no where near enough Leon. Other than that, a half decent storyline that didn't involve umbrella in any way, in the middle of europe or something would be nice. And less of the crappy quick time events. Co-op I don't mind, but the menu system needs looking at, being attacked while in a static menu makes no sense.

About time for another Claire game, ain't it?
Anyway, I'd like to see a better balance between puzzles and combat. I don't mind the action-horror style the series has taken, but SOME puzzles are still needed.

Also, no AI partner
More enemy variety (Why were there no Hunters in RE5...or Crimson Heads for that matter. Both are fast enough to be difficult without the cinematic fixed camera angles...)

Okay, you're nuts.
Seeing somone being eaten alive is more creepy than a bunch of guys stomping on someone, in the UK we have that 24/7. And what is survial horror when you have somone to watch my back. I'll let upgradeing weapons slide.

Looking back, the RE series has never been scary. The "BOO!" moments were predictable, there were tons of big action set pieces through out the series that mostly over-shadowed the "horror" aspects of the games, the characters were hard to connect with, there for making it hard to connect with their situation, and the story was just too stupid to take seriously.

RE4 was the game that tried to mix things up a little bit and did a damn good job. The ridiculous main story was left behind and replaced by a slighly more original plot that seemed to go about things with an intensional sence of self-parody, Leon (while looking like an albino hair dresser) had personality and enough human characteristics to make an easy connection with, the Ganados were more organized than any zombie making them more challenging and unpredictable, the controls were fluid, and the pacing was among some of the best in the whole industry. It still may not have been scary or tence, but it's still a much better game than pretty much every RE game before it (then Capcom just had to ruin everything by releasing RE5).

Hows about they make it so we can run and shoot at the same time that would be nice.
and less smug characters with better more convincing voice actors would be nice.

It's true resident evil isn't scary, and the plot wasn't great but the problem with the newer resident evils is the characters are on some sort of mission which means you can't releate to the dread of being trapped with a enemy that fills no pain, no fear and no remorce. I think Max Brooks said "The thing that makes zombies more creepy than vampires or werwolfs is they are the type of monster that never stops no matter how far away you are they will keep coming"

Besides the Ganados arn't that more intelligent they run up to you then start walking, they also flinch which down grades the creppy feal of them, the chainsow guy is good cos he dosn't flinch but one shotgun round and your fine. The other problem i find with the new REs is your obligated to kill all the enemys you meet, which dosn't matter cos ammo is plentiful.

I Remember in the old Resident evils you would find a group of zombies eating someone which was well done especially when the guy they where eating gets up as well to attack you.

Any way that's your opinion
