i bought a copy of the game a couple of months ago and i was actually quite enjoying it, but i have now realized that once again EA have released a game without troubleshooting it properly.

i loaded the game up yesterday only to find that the only options i now get on the menu screen are "start career" and "options", (which are the only options you get before you start playing the game). but i could see my car in the background of the menu so i thought nothing of it, i selected start career and it took me to the first race in the career (the race you have to do before you can actually start the game).

in short, all my saved data is still there, but the game doesn't know that, and now ive got to start all over again.

if anyone knows how to solve this problem then please let me know because it's just happened again this afternoon.

Why are they still making NFS? isn't this like the nineteenth one?
Why do they keep making Call of Duties? Why do they keep making Battlefield games? Why do they keep creating Tony Hawk and Sonic and Mario and Madden games? Because Need for Speed makes money.

Ot:I would suggest checking your memory. If the save's corrupt then you can pretty much see the problem.

I haven't had that issue, and it's the first I've heard of the issue, and I've had the game since it came out.

But yeah, contact support would be the only way to solve that one.

Shift's bad because it tries to be a sim game.
the formula was neigh-perfect in underground2, could have just updated its graphics, tossed in cops, and it'd be the shit.
every game afterward had flaws. that slo-mo PoS in MW&Carbon, and prostreets closed-world, undercover's genral suckiness, and shifts bad realism
why even buy it? espicially with Forza3/GT5 coming very soon, those are the kings of sim racing.
