My friend and I were just arguing about the Vita getting Skype functionality, and he says that Sony added it because he wants to compete against the casual market of the iOS, and that adding Skype to the NGP pisses him off because they're redefining what a console can or cannot do
How the fuck can you even comp- Ok, first of all, the iPad is not a gaming console, it's a Netbook. He agrees with me here, but he seems to think that regardless if it is or not, Sony is going casual.
Second, what if the NGP gets skype, huh? Isn't it better? Isn't it cooler? Isn't it more efficient? How's adding a feature (free of cost) making it casual? Because it's not the thing it's intended to do? It's not like Sony is just gonna drop all games to launch an AppStore. And if Skype doesn't stops you from playing, what's the point in complaining?
As soon as I heard the news, I was excited, Sony is making the PS Vita a great portable console, and IMHO, it's gonna be a great rival for the 3DS!
What do you guys think, Do you think Sony is going casual? Do you think adding Skype was a bad idea? Discuss.
