Nickelback, Hoobastank, etc.

I saw Nickelback in the old days and thought they were pretty good. People have issue with them because they're seen as uninspiring, middle-of-the-road rock and the genre is seen by people to be the genre of fighting 'the man' and being out there and different.
I like a fair few Nickelback songs, same goes for Creed and less so for Hoobastank. They're not a kind of band that sets my pulse racing but they're pretty solid. And I'd rather have a band of competent musicians than 'rock'n'rollers' (read dickheads) any day.

i like Hoobaskanks's out of control.
and i can't remember any songs of nickelback but i think i liked some at a point. (moved on very fast though)
and people don't like them because they don't stand out as good musicians. really mediocre at what they do.

Out of control by Hoobastank, and This is how you remind me by Nickelback are pretty good. But that's just it, there's one or two good songs, and then it's boring.
I dislike Nickelback because they make no songs that I like.And that people like them to rock,when they are Pop-Rock.
Now Creed I listened to some of their songs.But then I got bored of them.
But Hoobstank,I like.They have some sweet songs.Some fairly fast paces songs.And most of the time,their songs entertain me.Unlike the other two bands.

Nickelback, Creed etc are neither truly terrible nor truly great. They're just "meh". They're not brilliant, but they're "competent". They do what most bands can do, about as well as most bands can do those things. Nothing particularly outstanding, different or interesting, just reasonable songs, well played, well sung. Competent but not outstanding. And in music, that's the worst crime of all. Not good or bad enough to provide true entertainment value.
