Nightly WTF: Marble Hornets

I watched the whole series a couple of weks back. those me 3 dqays to get through them as I Found it hard to get through after the events of entry 14. And I could hardly get any sleep after I had finished watching it.

I know, the day after 14, I only managed to the next 2 entries. I literially had to force myself to watch the rest the day after that.

I really feel like Marble Hornets is one of the most overrated movies out there. Yeah it's a little creepy and made me jump once or twice, but it's really nothing spectacular. The acting is medicore, and the hand-held or found footage thing only really works when it's done really well.

I'm not saying it's terrible, it's just not all that great either.

It does get hard to watch after 14, but it's so well made I could stop watching, terrified with a pillow to hide behind.

Yeah, I didn't find it particularly scary, but after a while it just made me not want to watch it. Especially toward the end, it was...interesting at best and haphazard at worst.

Yeah, things went downhill after Entry 14, but I can't lie, I enjoyed the series, and was chiefly responsible for spreading it amongst my group of friends.

I do like Marble Hornets, but it starts to drag on after a while.

Eh, I can't say 14 was the mark I stopped watching, but it was around there.

A blatant ripoff (more of a spinoff, really), but still pretty cool. Watch out though, this could easily be classified as a screamer:

I found them all really boring. I've seen a thousand other similar 'cursed video tape' youtube videos, and while this was better quality and effort than most of all of them, I still feel they try too hard to emulate 'Blair Witch Project meets The Ring'.

tldr; Trying too hard. Not really scary IMO -it comes off as more silly than anything else.

It's not a spinoff. It's a re-edited version of a completely unrelated video.

I enjoyed Marble Hornets. Was one of those videos that took awhile to sink in, but I found myself absolutely terrified at night one night and realized that it worked. Slendy just creeps me out.

I'm not saying it wasn't creepy, It's just a huge pile of WTF. Parts of it made absolutely no sense while the "response" videos just served to confuse those not already engrossed in the story.
