Thanks for the videos. They were ok, I liked the first one better. I prefer nin though, but I'll check them out all the same.
I love Skinny Puppy, but they've got a larger metal and EBM thing going on... in a club I'd prefer to dance to Skinny Puppy, but at home I'd rather listen to oHgr (a lot of the time).letterbomber223 said:Nivek plays the brother who wears Paris Hilton's face like a mask.Verlander said:I haven't got round to it yet... I didn't know they were involved in it? The irony of this conversation is that one of their more known songs, Cracker, is taking the piss out of NIN XD
Glad you put a song from SunnyPsyop up, too - best album IMO. DIMD was ok, but Welt & SunnyPsyOp Are pure ownage.
You find Skinny puppy as good?
Yeah I gotta say the fragile is pretty darned good. It didn't sell all that well but it's darn worth it. It's pretty big too do there'll be something here that you will like.Arqus_Zed said:Hmmm, I know a bit of NIN.
Strange enough though, the song 'Closer' never spoke to me. I remember a girlfriend of mine going on about 'Fuck you like an animal', 'Feel you on the inside' with layers of rough sounds on the background... But when I actually heard it, it sounded like something electro with a goth vibe. I was expecting something more heavy, more metal, really.
I also have the free to download version of Ghosts I-IV and most of the songs seem pretty 'meh' to me.
However, I really dig the song "Just Like You Imagined", I first heard it in the trailer of 300. So I might check out 'The Fragile' album to see if everything else on the CD is as good.
Ok, I'll check em out. I like nin because there's so many layers of sound as background noise, and all the songs have such good lyrics and tunes. I'm not really into shitty music, I like to think NIN is quality stuff.letterbomber223 said:Anypony mind if this becomes an industrial thread?
No?
If you like NIN you might want to try something less pop and more industrial like Angelspit KMFDM, or Combichrist. Or some nice EBM like Velvet Acid Christ or God Module.
It's fairly good. The drumming was good but it never really launched up and above those few loops of drumming and a little background noise. It wasn't bad, just not as.. Involved.. As I thought it would be.letterbomber223 said:Multi-layered is good. That's what got me into industrial. For some reason I can't link youtube videos but you may enjoy Photek a lot more techstep/darkstep than industrial, but hey. It's not about the lyrics, though he does use some vocal samples. Try youtubing 'Ni Ten Ichi by Photek'TacticalAssassin1 said:Ok, I'll check em out. The taiko drumming bits are top-notch![]()

Is it worth me getting the live DVDs?ANImaniac89 said:Nine Inch Nails has been my favorite band since I was 7, and I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to NIN.
Favorite album would have to be tie between The Downward Spiral and The Fragile.
My current Favorite songs are: Big Man With A Gun, Somewhat Damaged, We're in this Together, La Mar and Wish.
I have seen the Broken movie its ok but nothing earth shattering.
I have a bunch of NIN Live DVD's including: And All That Could Have Been, Beside you in Time and Another Version of the Truth: The Gift.
I do like the HDA EP and hope they come out with some more stuff.
Also the first time I saw the uncut Closer video I had nightmares (I was 8)
