I played the demo a few days ago and all I can say is the game has no swag. It feels like From Software just copy pasted Ninja Gaiden 2, changed the "Gaiden" to blade and Ryu to Ken, don't worry it gets worse. After they copy pasted Ninja Gaiden 2 they decided that they would make everything a shade of black and green.... It's pretty sad, it's like watching the trailers for Bayonetta and realizing that the game is more or less a knock off of Devil May Cry without the benefit of the creator being the person who made Devil May Cry in the first place. (I even remember reading somewhere that he or one of the other original team members would have made Dante female if he could do it over again. So I look at Bayonetta as the game he always wanted to make.)
The area you fight in, in the demo is completely dead and not in the good way, remember how I said the colour pallete consists of nothing but green and black, well the enemies are apparently all brownish black.... I can't say I actually had any idea what I was attacking at any time. Which is something I can't say about either Ninja Gaiden or Ninja Gaiden 2. In those games you could almost always tell what you were hiting. But in Ninja Blade apparently it's cool to fight enemies with no distinguishing characteristics that disappear into the bland environment.
I hope for From Software's sake that the rest of the game is not this lame though I highly doubt that it will not be.
