Most of the camera angles are fine, but a few get in the way at times. Rachel's chapter is the worse with this. It's crazy, because she and the rest of the girls are only in the Sigma version. Try going back to the vanilla version of 2. Especially with shit like this:

The only things I dislike about NG2B are Rachel's chapter is worse, and the wall jumping seems more finicky in certain spots. She moves even slower than how she did in Sigma 1 and Sigma 2. They need to give her speed boost. I never liked her sections much to begin with; especially in Sigma. Thankfully, it's only the one chapter, but I am not looking forward to her again on harder difficulties.

I do hope for NG4, they bring back steel on bone. At leas for Ryu. It's fun countering and doing chain SOBs on fools! Also, make the Izuna Drop have a universal input for any weapon.

Video Comparison between NGII and NG2B

They seem really committed to Rachel being the slow tank to her detriment.

I was actually debating whether to get the Master's Collection or the Black version.

I only played the NG2 demo on the 360, so never got to play the whole game. I think I can just go with the new Black version? I really wouldn't know the difference aside from the graphics

Just go with the Black version, if you only want to play the one game. While this version is still based off of Sigma 2, the gore is back, there are more enemies to fight compared to the Sigma 2 release, and it has most of the bonuses from Sigma 2. There are slightly less costumes though. The game is gonna content update later this month.

If you decide to get the Master Collection, either wait for a sale, or pick it up if you really want to play Sigma 1 and Razor's Edge. Sigma 2 is still a great game, but the gore has been removed.

New update!

  • Additional Content:

  • Added Photo Mode to the in-game Options Menu. You can move the camera around within a set limit to take screenshots.
  • Ability to Hide Projectile Weapon
  • Added a "Show Projectile Weapon" option under "Game Settings" in the Options Menu, which allows you to hide your projectile weapon while it is carried on your back.
  • Adjustments:
  • Lowered the HP of enemies in Ch. 8, "City of the Fallen Goddess"
  • Lowered the HP of enemies in Ch. 11, "Night in the City of Water"
  • Raised the number of enemies in Ch. 13, "The Temple of Sacrifice"
  • Raised the number of enemies in Ch. 14, "A Tempered Gravestone"
  • Raised the damage dealt by some of Ayane's attacks.
  • Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed control issues that occurred when playing at over 120 FPS or while under high computing load.
  • Fixed an issue where controllers would not vibrate based on computing load or FPS settings.
  • Fixed bugs that caused the player to go out of bounds during certain chapters.
  • Fixed bugs that made it impossible to progress during certain chapters.
  • Fixed a bug which caused the game to crash during long play sessions.

Rich should give John some sick leave.

Heads up on PC -

You don't want to use 120fps on PC either, because the gameplay actually changes at 120fps, some combos are not connecting fully (ex. vs Alexei + lunar) whereas at 60fps, the full combo will connect.

@hanselthecaretaker2, @Xprimentyl, @Old_Hunter_77, @NerfedFalcon, @Dirty Hipsters, and @CriticalGaming, this video is for you.

A hardcore Souls player plays Ninja Gaiden II Black for the first time. He's never played an NG game up until this point. He picks the harder difficuly and still having fun, despite getting his ass kicked.

I’ve also never finished any NG games. Played the OG, Black, and Sigma plus I think a demo of maybe NG2? Can’t remember but yeah. Souls games are…much more relaxing lol.

I never played OG, but I did play Black & Sigma. I never bothered to finish either. I finished Ninja Gaiden II & Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 once. II Black I've finished twice and currently have 41 hours of play time. I never touched 3 and went straight to Razor's Edge. I beat RE once.
