Same with Sly Cooper, he learned ancient Ninja techniques from the Theivius Racconus.
Overall I would have to say Rikimaru.

Ninjas don't go running around in the open, Ninja's don't fight off entire demon armies on their own. Ninja's use stealth.
Name 1 time where Ryu actually used stealth?
He's a warrior, not a Ninja.
