...because getting to pay your employees is probably really awesome.
I'm sure the employees find it quite awesome as well.

I wonder if the developers for X Blades broke earn a profit in the end?
I got a feeling that might be a big fat no...lol.

But, its a shame. I hope they do better next time as its never fun to tell people after all the hard work it basically didnt do well at all...real downer
Well in Japan they've gotten the equivalent to what we call "Greatest Hits" so I think they broke even at the very least.

Eh, I've played the game. It wasn't bad, it was pretty good actually.

Just short. Very, very short...
That's what I'm thinking.
I rented this and it wasn't bad, it was just really short. So who the hell would pay $60 for a game you're done with before the weekend.

They should really tart pricing these short games accordingly.

I have no problem paying $60 for Just Cause 2 (it looks like I'll be playing that for the better part of this year) but a game you just play through (like Heavy Rain) strikes me as being more of a rental.

Wait, correct me if I'm mistaken, but did they make a PS3-exclusive title when Sony hadn't paid them money to keep it exclusive? Unless you're getting some deal with the console maker (Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo) then I don't see what the point of making an exclusive is.
Well the problem with a non exclusive is higher development costs. You can share some of the assets such as art work but the game engine would mostly need to be rebuilt, Particularly since the PS3 chip does things is a very odd way so a lot of the stuff they had to put together probably wouldn't translate over easily. This costs a lot of extra money and a small dev firm probably doesn't have the finances to pull that off.
Therefore, why would one not go for 360 exclusivity? I'm a PS3 fanboy through and through, but when you know you can only develop on one system, AND you're introducing a new IP, why would you not go with the console with the higher install base?

Shit...I played a demo and didn't think it was THAT bad.

To put it another way: If I had a PS3, I would have likely bought it at some point.
Don't. It's a great movie but a game worth buying? Doubtful.
