So something rather strange happened, I got back from renewing my annual mobile phone subscription with Vodafone. This time, apart from the usual 300E store credit so I can also get a new phone, they also gave me...a free Wii (and I only pay about 50E per month, which means that my gifts this year cost more than what I will pay for my subscription for the whole year, it's not like I have some titanic super-expensive plan so they are throwing free stuff at me). This never happened before, and quite frankly I don't remember anything similar happening with any other console in the past. What do you think is going on here? Vodafone desperately trying to attract more customers? Or is the Wii maybe not selling as well as it used to anymore?

Pphhh, companies do this all the time. Vodafone isn't failing, the Wii isn't failing, it's just a good way to ease the parting of you and your money.

Add up all you pay them in a year, then judge.

Fixed that for you.

Anyway, it has happened before, it's nothing new really. I got a free PS3 with my Orange contract =D

Free Wii. Who cares? They're giving away DS's and Professor Layton with new Nokia phones at the Carphone Warehouse. How long until we see a Nintendo phone? Not long, I hope.

The Wii isn't failing at all.
I know, I was kidding. I own a Wii myself actually, and rather enjoy its company.
Maybe it's because I'm still waking up that I missed the joke/sarcasm. My bad. (Proud Wii owner here so yea...)
Nah, it's fine. I have a habit of not making it clear whether I'm being serious or not.
