Nintendo Applies For Baffling "Massively Single-Player" Patent

Ummm, am I the only one who cant figure out what the fuck a "massive single=player game" is?

The first thing I thought of when reading that was Spore, and it's been done already in other games that people in this thread have mentioned. So yeah, I dont't think Nintendo is in any position to patent it.

Wait a minute! I thought Spore (as terrible a game as it was) did this exact thing in the game. You know, the whole "find creatures other people made in your world"

Also, they should not be able to patent such a broad concept like that, it will hurt innovation.
