I wonder how it knows how many steps you take (you can just shake it?), and how people will try to cheat it.

The problem is that I don't keep my DS on me all the time. It's good that they're trying to force people to carry it around, but can the pedometer really work if it's stuffed in my backpack?

Sounds like a good idea. I loved the Poke-Walker idea so. Although I do hope they make it so there is nothing exclusive for it. Much like pokemon where you could get the rarer stuff later in the game. Would suck if say Mario Kart you could only unlock Baby Mario by Pedometer.
