The Wii Virtual Console has been a great selling point of the wii.
with regular updates and classic games from many consoles, it has given many of us a chance to relive some of out favorite games and the things that made us love them.
But like many people i know, some of my fondist memories come from a little wonder called the Game boy.
Many of my first games were played on the gbc i got for christmas when i was a little kid.
And with the Dsi came a little thing called the Dsi shop, and i was thinking, would you like to see something similar to a Virtual Console for the Dsi?(i know it probbly wont happen but, it would be awesome)
If you do, which gb games (any gb) would you like to see released, and which one would turn your Dsi's battery to mush?

Mine would be Fire Emblem from the gba, Megaman Battle Network blue 3 from the gba, and Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening from the gb.
So many long hours spent on all those games......sigh.

Someone stole my DS with all my games so I might buy a DSi for myself this Christmas.

DSi just does not not seem worth getting. I already have a DS, and it works just fine, DSi seems like a bit of a rip off for my money to be perfectly honest.

I really want Nintendo to re-release the Zelda OOT and MM on the gameboy, just like they did for Mario, but I do not think they will...

Aside from that, another guitar hero game, oh, and I am definatly getting the new pokemon game which comes out next week...yes, I am in my twenties and I still play pokemon...

Yes this would be great, sort of...

Well if hey put up Castlevania Aria of Sorrow, my favorite Castlevania game of all time, onto the DSi shop then I would immediately fork out my debit card number and get the points to buy it.

Right now I can't see a reason to get the DSi until they start making games to take advantage of its (alleged) power increase, or if they indeed do a GB virtual console on it, or, and this is even better, a full-fledged DS-ware channel with a similar set-up to the WiiWare channel. It would definetely satisfy some of the homebrew crowd if given some level of opportunity to make DS games (of a sort) and get money for it. I mean I know they have the channel now but it hasn't seem to have caught fire in the same way the WiiWare channel has

I doubt they will put something like this.

Though I would download (if I had a DSi, I have the normal one) at least Golden Sun I and II, Megaman Battle Network I and III White, Megaman Zero I and III.

To be honest, I see DSi VC games as a distinct possibity. There's no reason why this couldn't happen. I'm fine with my DSPhat, even with a cracked screen (;_;) but VC would be a very nice addition. With DSi exclusive games coming this winter, I'm pretty optimistic.

I think that it's going to happen. It makes too much sense to do. I personally would like to see Super Mario Land from the original Gameboy on my DS (with the option for either color, or black-and-green).

the Zero series would draw a lot of people, a few of my friends are obsesed with the series.
btw, just cuz im a nerd, did you beat serenade?
i would never try and get chips from all the virises before i left an area, so by the time the game was over i had a incomplete chip libary and not enough patience to go back and try to complete it. so no serenade for me.

I doubt you'd see any of those games for DSiWare. I would expect a DS remake of the Mother games (and that's if they're ever coming), and Pokemon Gold/Silver are getting cartridge remakes.

Yeah, I know. But it can't hurt to hope, can it?

P.S. I also knew about Pokemon Gold/Silver being re-released as Heart Gold/Soul Silver, but I always felt that the old graphics had a nice charm to them. Does this make me a bad person?

Well no, but I'm just saying hope for a cartridge remake and not a DSiWare download of the Mother games, as the latter seems even less likely, and in the case of Gold/Silver, there's no chance of a VC version when they're remaking the games. It's why Chrono Trigger and Kirby Super Star have yet to make an appearance on the Wii Virtual Console; because they were remade for the DS instead (which I feel is a smarter choice as portability makes those games even better.)

P.S. No, it doesn't. It's why I like Super Nintendo games: They're graphically dated, which gives it a certain allure that I like.

I have beaten her, but I "cheated". As in, I used the UnderShot + grass field.

But still, the Zero series is available on the DS and is pretty good. However, the only good Megaman Battle Network games are available only on the GBA and it's MMBN I, MMBN II and III. Every game after that were mediocre at best, with the DS versions sucky (except for 4, obviously).

its ok, i used Atidmg and reflect a lot the first time i fought alpha.(horay for Eletric Shield Style!!!!)
i have played the zx sreies and i think it lives up to the z series quite a bit.
as for the BN, yea...... after three they did a backflip downhill.
but i did love BN 5 team colonal, especaly sence like in most BN games it was a classic character that wus updated for the new game. Colonal was my fav character in MM X 4.
