Nintendo Elitists: The Problem

The Wii and DS have received a title wave of hatred and disgust for the casual games being made for them.
But, most of this is aimed at Nintendo.
The Wii is full of brain-training games, fitness games, shovelware, and cooking games. And Nintendo is taking punishment from the "fans" for this.
Funny thing is: Nintendo did not make them, save for Wii Fit.

I think that the problem is these elitist pricks who can't except anything but an 8-bit nostalgia-trip with a classic control scheme, al a Megaman 9/10. So they complain if they don't get that.
I hate this because they never give anything a chance and label it casual.
No one bought Wario Land: Shake It!
And mentions of lack of originality bring to mind they haven't tried Super Mario Galaxy 2.
For god's sake, TRY the DS Zelda titles. They're at Blockbuster for 5 bucks.
Nintendo has a new audience now, but they're still catering to you, so quit acting like they don't.

Some people don't like Nintendo, it's a fact of life. It shouldn't affect you; not everyone is going to love what you love and some people are going to hate on it. It really isn't that big a deal.

The wii does suck, the ds is super over priced and so are all it's games, a game doesn't get on the system without nintendo's approval so your "nintendo didn't make it" argument is invalid since Microsoft and Sony don't make that many games either.

Stop bitching this thread is pointless. If you need to work at justifying having nintendo products the fault is with you, wishing won't make them better.

Every medium has elitist. Literature, film, music and video games. These elitist will each take sides in everything they do. For example, Star Wars versus Star Trek or The Beatles versus The Rolling Stones. What you say about Nintendo elitist could be directed at Xbox lovers, or devotees of the Sony's Playstation line. Its all personal taste and denying any opinion that your own thoughts might be wrong. But that's just my take on it.

I used to be a nintendo elitist...
Then I got a 360.
And I realized how casual nintendo is getting.
Meh, nintendo can have a couple good things every here and there, No More Heros, Mario galaxy, LoZ, all of that, but still. Can;t take the Wii seriously any more.

People have been ragging on companies from the dawn of time. Nintendo has been receiving flak from Sega fanboys for the last 16 years or whatever.

Depends on the game really. I loved Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 was a ball, no Nintendo player worth his salt can say Brawl was entirely bad...the rest of the games know where they can go.

If they make a game that can even compare to Valkyria Chronicles without skimping on storyline or gameplay, I'll call it a wash.

The Wii sucks that is a fact and the reason is not nostalgia for me. Its the fact its an overpriced fisher price toy with graphics only a little better than the gamecube but with a huge lack of ANY DECENT GAMES that make me want to cough the money to buy the system. I want a playstation two so i can play all the games i missed out on when i was nintendo's lapdog with the game cube and n64

When the systems only games worth buying are a few mario titles and ssbb then its not worth even a look.

Besides thats my opinion of the Wii so why should it really matter to you? Nintendo needs no defending and they could care less if somebody is defending them especially with a very weak arguement such as yours.
