Is there a powerglove for the wii?
I really want a powerglove.
It's so bad.
bwahahaha. Points! For you, in your point jar!

This is interesting news. Maybe they'll make something with hardware on par with the 360 or ps3 and make more sophisticated (see working) wiimote sensors. That would be cool

The big question is, does Nintendo continue with their motion controls or do they go back to buttons?
Honestly, I think that for now, they need to go back to buttons.
Unless the Wii Motion+ is as good as they say, it's just too imprecise to continue with.
I think people just expect too much from motion controls. It isn't a magic 1:1 movement converter. Gamers (and more important, developers) need to understand this to enjoy the console. Rudimentary movement controls can add enjoyment to a game (No More Heroes stands out in my mind) and I'm sure developers can think of more, compelling ways to correctly impliment the technology. (I have some notes...)
But really, I need some level of precision in a game's control system. NMH , while the best game on the wii for me, still pissed me off with the motion controls, mostly because of the nunchuk.

What happened to the headband with magnets attached so I don't play the game I think the game. Will really help with the "stupid fingered" gamers.

I personally think motion control is the step forward, I mean the Wii hasn't done it fantastically at least its a step forward (in my opinion).

Don't see a price cut any time soon, Nintendo sell enough as it is so why bother making them cheaper.

Man, working for Nintendo's R&D must be absolutely amazing. Unless you made the Virtual boy, but even that is cleansed cause he made the Gameboy.
The virtual boy was a cool idea. It didn't get the support it needed and the technology wasn't quite there at the time - but it's still a remarkable innovation. If Nintendo would make a new virtual boy with GameCube-level power, non headache inducing full colour screens (OLED? Maybe something with a super high refresh rate?), and if they actually supported the platform it would be the first true 3D console to get actual support.

Nintendo rarely ever invents new ideas, they (normally) perfect them and bring them into the mainstream. All modern controllers exist as they are today because Nintendo are the ones to introduce them, analog, rumble, wireless, the PS3 controller is a glorified SNES controller with bits added on for each time Nintendo would introduce a controller concept.

Of course the Wii isn't original, people were thinking up motion sensor technology years before Nintendo ever thought of it. Nintendo gets the credit for bring it into the mainstream where no one else would.

Personally, I think non-motion plus Wii remote has worked fine. Just look at games like Zack and Wiki or Boom Box, these games use the remote well yet hardly get noticed by the mainstream. Yet 360 or PS3 owners find time to insult the remote even though there are solid games that use the remote in new and interesting ways yet lack the publicity.

Anyway, I find it ironic every time a good game comes out that doesn't use the Wii's motion sensor you have people insulting the IR. Yet good games that don't use something like the analog stick, d-pad or the minor motion sensor on the PS3 get no rubbish at all... Or for a better example, no one ever insulted good N64 games that didn't use the new analog or rumble feature.

To end, hopefully they introduce a Wii HD some time, I'd love to have current gen games on the Wii.

What about it? If I recall, all you had to do with the nunchuk was shake it to do a spin attack or move it during a wrestling move. I never had an issue with either, even when playing left-handed (remote in left hand, nunchuk in right. Throws off the wrestling instructions but they're easy enough to reverse. And if you just shake both around any way you'll still get the move off.)

Ah, that. I never had that problem. Maybe something's up with your nunchuk, I dunno.

I read a guide on gameFAQs, same nunchuk problem. So either there's a big coincedence or that's a big problem.

Hm. Guess I just got lucky, then.
