But really, I need some level of precision in a game's control system. NMH , while the best game on the wii for me, still pissed me off with the motion controls, mostly because of the nunchuk.Podunk said:I think people just expect too much from motion controls. It isn't a magic 1:1 movement converter. Gamers (and more important, developers) need to understand this to enjoy the console. Rudimentary movement controls can add enjoyment to a game (No More Heroes stands out in my mind) and I'm sure developers can think of more, compelling ways to correctly impliment the technology. (I have some notes...)Zyconis said:Honestly, I think that for now, they need to go back to buttons.letsnoobtehpwns said:The big question is, does Nintendo continue with their motion controls or do they go back to buttons?
Unless the Wii Motion+ is as good as they say, it's just too imprecise to continue with.
I personally think motion control is the step forward, I mean the Wii hasn't done it fantastically at least its a step forward (in my opinion).letsnoobtehpwns said:The big question is, does Nintendo continue with their motion controls or do they go back to buttons?
The virtual boy was a cool idea. It didn't get the support it needed and the technology wasn't quite there at the time - but it's still a remarkable innovation. If Nintendo would make a new virtual boy with GameCube-level power, non headache inducing full colour screens (OLED? Maybe something with a super high refresh rate?), and if they actually supported the platform it would be the first true 3D console to get actual support.Mister Benoit said:Man, working for Nintendo's R&D must be absolutely amazing. Unless you made the Virtual boy, but even that is cleansed cause he made the Gameboy.
What about it? If I recall, all you had to do with the nunchuk was shake it to do a spin attack or move it during a wrestling move. I never had an issue with either, even when playing left-handed (remote in left hand, nunchuk in right. Throws off the wrestling instructions but they're easy enough to reverse. And if you just shake both around any way you'll still get the move off.)mike1921 said:But really, I need some level of precision in a game's control system. you know the boss fight with the magician? That box you have to shake out of? The nunchuk gives me problems with that and killsm e.Podunk said:What about it? Ah, that. I never had that problem. Maybe something's up with your nunchuk, I dunno.mike1921 said:you know the boss fight with the magician? That box you have to shake out of? The nunchuk gives me problems with that and killsm e.
I read a guide on gameFAQs, same nunchuk problem. So either there's a big coincedence or that's a big problem.Podunk said:Ah, that. I never had that problem.
