Ah crap, this means I'm gonna have to buy a DS really soon, so there goes all my money for the year.

Also, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! A remake of the greatest Pokemon games ever!
True that.

Sounds good, if it's an actual remake ... I can't be bothered with anything after 251 Pokémon, which was quite enough for me. Imagine, G/S/C with easy wireless linking

Ahh, happy fantasies

I'd be more excited if they released a bundle based off of all the pokemon games from red and blue through to the end that could be played in succession (with carry over pokemon).
That could work, but why would Nintendo do that when they could make even more money re-releasing them all seperetely?
As an opening line up insentive to get people to buy the next upgraded DS.

YES NINTENDO DOES GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THEIR CORE AUDIENCE! :D
I'm not falling for this *suspisious twitch* this is just Nintendo throwing another piece of candy our way before another kick in the imaginary balls for their loved 'casual gamer' crowd, isn't it...ISN'T IT! *crawls back into cave to continue rituals of the damned and eat pie*
Haha Nintendo will come crawling back to us one day though, the mass public is a fickle friend.

Gold and Sliver are the holy grail of the series in my opinion, especially since after you beat the gyms and story in Johto, you can journey back to Kanto(the region from Red, Blue, and Yellow) and continue there.

'Bout time. I was hoping for the before diamond and pearl came out. It's time for a cool character again. I'm kinda sick of the diamond character, and R&S and G&S had the best avitars,

Because we can really expect Nintendo to crank out more games than their over abundance of third-party developers. Nintendo still pays attention to their franchises, and are more often than not, criticize for not breaking that mold.

I might get this when it comes out. Mine stopped working after the batteries died on me (the battery backup)
Pokemon is just as casual as it is "core audience." Fucking everyone plays Pokemon man. That said, I'd be just as happy with a Gold and Silver remake. It'll show those kids that the older generations had better pokemon games. The red and blue remakes are already miles better than Ruby and sapphire. I just hope Silver/Gold will still have the new pokemon, so I can replace Pearl with it, since I don't give a flying fuck about Pearl anymore.
Hell, I can't even find my Pearl version anymore. If it really is a silver/gold remake, I'll need to find it. All my shinys are on it.

Dude, the next new ones will be oil and natural gas of course.

But good news about the remakes, seeing as ds can't play Game Boy games I won't have to take more handhelds than I need to on trips
Pokemon Lithium and Pokemon Potassium?

There's a whole periodic table out there people!!!! Many POkemon games to come!

OT: That sounds epic, may have to actually buy my own DS for that (the missus has lost hers to Diamond for a good few hours now)

Gotta agree with Psychosocial.

This basically sums up everything I would've said, only that much, much funnier than I could've done.

I might actually buy a Gold/Silver remake since Gold was the first video game I owned and thus caries a metric shit-ton of nostalgia. And they probably wont screw it up. All they'r gonna do port it to the DS and revamp the graphics and sound quality.

Too be honest, it seems likely it?ll be a remake of the Gold and Silver games, but I don?t want to get my hopes up in case it isn?t, as their sister game, Crystal, is one of my favourite Pokémon games.

I?m actually really excited thought, if it is a remake I hope they don?t screw it up, they shouldn?t do though.

Takoto, I like the enthusiasm, but posting the same thing three times is a quick way to piss the mods off.

I agree, I'm not getting my hopes up for a G/S remake, my copy of Gold still works, but I'm hoping it is, so I can play it on my DS. Still, even better than that, I'd really like to see a pokemon games with all the regions included, even the ones in the Ranger games, and you can pick your starting area. I know that would be one heck of a coding endeavor, but who wouldn't want a game featuring ALL of the possible pokemon, in ALL the regions we've been shown in the games? I sure would.
