I think Reggie has said this every Christmas since the Wii came out. You're right, it does have a certain greasy, opportunistic tone to it, but it's the truth and I'm not sure how he could phrase it better. If you want a Wii, and you see a Wii, then you damn sure better buy that Wii immediately.

I first bought a Wii, and just recently got a 360, and I'll tell you, they say the 360 has the most diverse game selection. Well I have found 2 games I like for it so far... The Wii and DS have every puzzle game I like, Super Smash Bros. (Melee and Brawl), and awesome backwards compatibility (GameCube games, Gameboy Advance games; selected vintage console games), where the 360 does not.
