In all seriousness, it's REALLY odd to me seeing this coming out in NA first. Nintendo has been blatant in how they've been playing favorites with their Japanese audience this and every previous generation. This, more than anything else, tells me that maybe, just maybe, they've learned from their mistakes from the Wii.
The Premium Service intrigues me. I would like to know more. And I'm hoping Nintendo keeps updating the eShop. It had a rocky start, and there's a lot of improvements still to be made, but there are good games coming out for it, and I'm really hoping they keep improving how it links up with Club Nintendo.

Here's the better question: how many people actually use their 120GB hard drives on their 360's and PS3's? You would have to basically live exclusively on the XBLA in order to even dent it. Besides, as has been pointed out, the Wii U will support external memory units, so those few people who actually have a use for a large hard drive can just buy their own memory.AzrealMaximillion said:

You can choose to install the games onto the hard drive for shorter load times. That and the 360's XBLA marketplace does see a lot of traffic. That's pretty reasonable. I'm still doing what I always do though: Waiting a year or two to see if there's more than 5 games on a console that interest me. Nintendo hasn't failed on that yet, and they already have Rayman and Pikmin...but I'm biding my time. I still have plenty of stuff to play from 1-3 generations ago.

This is a non issue for me since the next Zelda wont even be available till 2014 and I have a feeling that a new solo mario game wont be available till late 2013 so I'm not even considering the WiiU till then. By that time there will be a price drop and a decent catalog I hope.
Most Nintendo console games suck, they just re do the old favourites like Mario etc everything else is half arsed. As soon as they dump consoles and stick to making games, they will do so much better.

Second is a direct observation of the hardrive. By keeping it shitty and small, the price of the WiiU can be much cheaper. If you consider that the Wii is the most family friendly console out there right now, you will probably see some parents buying the new Wii U, due to both its family friendliness and its lower price point. Once a family buys the console they're essentially yours. I will bet that most families would rather pay more in incremental upgrades if they already have the WiiU than to buy a new better console.

Wow, it's not more than my rent at launch. That's new. Memory size would worry me more if I didn't already have an USB HDD dedicated to gaming. Think I'll wait for some prime cut titles to come out before I buy, like I did for the Wii, waiting until Super Mario Galaxy hit, with Brawl a few months after that, and a reduced price Twilight Princess to tide me over between them.
Hard drive memory prices became unstable the last few years and demand for fast store is higher than for quantity. Would you really want a 320 GB 5400 RPM HDD like most PS3s or 360s or would you want a 8 Gig Solid State or better? Yea I'd want a 320 GB SSD drive but not for 300 - 1k a piece.AzrealMaximillion said:
