When you think Nintendo, you usually think of some of the industry's best platformers. Mario, DK, 2D Metriod, Kirby even Smash which has platforming mechanics. They've been masters at the genre for years. But I've been thinking, what if they were to attempt a parkour based platformer. One not only based around, but rewards the kind of stylish acrobatics you see in games like Prince of Persa or Assassin's Creed. Obviously is doesn't have to be realistic M-rated fare, but a platformer that rewards speed, style, and acrobatics would certainly be welcome, especially from a brand synonymous with platformers. I think the closest they've gotten was the 3D Mario games, and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.

Some of the latter Mario games have that feature where you can stick to a wall and make a jump off that.
Something like this, maybe.

Skyward Sword actually featured a lot of new parkour type movements for getting around in the game. Link being able to run up walls for climbing and a sprint function to help him do so seems like a simple way of putting in some kind of parkour into the game.
