Finally a bit of good news. After GoDaddy dropped their support a while ago. Nintendo , sony electronics and EA decided to drop their support as well. No reason was given (maybe they are afraid of the backlash).

So for some people at least a reason less to hate EA. Though sony music and movies are still on the support list they might withdraw as well after sony electronics did that (we can only hope).

Do you have a source at all for this? Not that I don't believe you of course...but I'll believe it when you show a reputable source.

EDIT: Alright, now that there is a source, that's good news. The less big companies behind it, the more likely this bill will go down.

Yeah, source would be nice. I can't believe that Sony or EA would do that. Don't really give a fuck what Nintendo does.

For the people asking

http://www.businessinsider.com/the-largest-game-companies-in-the-world-have-dropped-their-support-for-a-bill-the-internet-hates-2011-12

One thing i did miss that only sony electronics pulled their support not the movie and music devision (i will edit my first post).

/edit removes a point from the website (do not need to punctuate urls ;/)

And there goes half of it! DX

OT: I hope coming into the new year that Congress drops this and the "protect IP" act (I think they want SOPA to take the hit, but they push through the mildier but still bad version).

OK, so Sony didn't actually drop the support. If their music and film divisions still support it then it's clear what they're trying to do. They're trying to avoid the fan hate by saying how Eelectronics division is dropping the support, but at the same time they're not actually dropping the support. Sony is up to no good as usual.

Actually if memory serves me well, even Sony Electronics and Sony Entertainment don't get along either, so it's not completely surprising they might have differing views on this.
