Warhammer 40k takes itself WAAAAAAAAAAY to seriously. Especially when you have ork vehicles that move faster if they are painted red.

Orks have a lot of psycic energy. They can move faster because they accidently add power to them using that, when they belive that it works. Same with their guns. They shouldn't work. But because so many orks, all belive that they do, and should, They do.

Basically, their vehicles go faster, because they belive they should. I think it's brilliant.

For me, it's the Avatar universe. In Legend of Aang, fire benders producing lightning was a pretty legendary ability. Something belonging to fire bending masters. But in Legend of Korra, any fire bending git and his mum can get a job at the electrical plants and lightning bend.

At least with metal bending, the people learning it were an elite police force. Though I think sensibly, they should combine it with earth bending more, or they're not really at any particular advantage.

Do love me a bit of Star Trek, but how in the name of any deity are the Ferengi still around? Their sole mission is to nip around the galaxy pissing stuff off and nicking their shit. How long do you think they're gonna last as a race first time they pull something like that on the Klingons?

How are so many of them still alive?

Ok, so the universe of Friendship is Magic:

I do not like the crazy mix of 1300-ish technology with current technology. They use candles to light their houses, but yet Twilight has some sort of advanced brain scanner in her library?
Also, Celestia and Luna are semi-deities, but why? This is never explained.

Especially considering that when shit goes down, Celestia is about as useful as a condom machine in the Vatican.

I hope they keep blood bending as a rarely used skill. I'd like to see Korra go nuts on Amon with blood bending. That would be nice.

OT: Lord of the Rings: why did the Eagles not just fly them to Mordor?
Every time this comes up, people say 'they wanted to stay out of the war' or something similar. If they just did that, there wouldn't BE a war. It would be a pre-emptive strike.

The problem with it is that, for the most part, the extended universe and games are so consistent with lore than a tiny little problem looks like a Slipspace drive just went supernova.

By established canon, the anime Homecoming can not be canon.

THERE WAS NO SPARTAN II WITH THE NUMBER DESIGNATION OF 303.

There were only 75 Spartan IIs that eventually made it to the augmentation process. That's half of the original 150 that started the program, but that shows that they were only numbered from 1-150. There were originally supposed to be 300 (part of the reason Halsey named it the Spartan project) but that still puts the highest possible number at 300, not 303.

This made Babysitter my least favorite of the animes when on all accounts it was actually very good.

The same problem made Reach very hard to accept as canon. (Though on a lighter note in regards to that, it's hilarious to see exactly how much 343i hates Reach.)

Also, I've recently become a bigger fan of the concept of comic book universes (specifically Marvel, for obvious reasons, though I do love thegoddamnbatman) but I know I'll never be able to read the comics because of how many inconsistencies and retcons and alternate universes and one shots and OMGWTF

It's too much. I'll stick to the movies.

I always hoped that a super awesome airbender would be able to create a sphere completely devoid of air, and be able to place it directly around the opponents' body/head.

The only thing I can think of is that without a war occupying Mordor's armies, eagles once in mordor wouldn't have made is a quarter of the way to the volcano.

Fear and Loathing: Some of this stuff is way too extreme to be non-fiction.

Fallout (the recent ones): In 3 there were more stimpacks laying around the ruins than there was water, but I guess scaver find water more useful than stimpacks if they're not getting shot up. Some of the NPCs come across rigid and robotic.

A) The Eagles weren't really interested in the War in the beginning. They were of chilling and doing their own thing. While they do have a personal connection with Gandalf, that's not enough to motivate them to go to war.

So imagine it being like how the Americans didn't intervene early in the second world war.

B) Mordor mass produces the fell beasts (those are the things the ring-wraiths ride) meaning that while they might be a match for them one on one, it would be a suicide mission for them. With the fact that they aren't particularly interested in getting involved in the War, there is no reason for them to do it.


Sauron isn't an idiot, he does post look outs. And if he saw Eagles he would mobilize.

I don't get how the Vorlon and Shadow ships became paper thin once the war started. Remember how it took the full power of a White Star (one of the most advanced ships available to the younger races) and the help of Narn ships to even kill one Shadow vessel? Suddenly, any of the non-aligned worlds ships can take on Vorlon and Shadow vessels.

But one of the things I love about B5 is how it tries to make things semi-realistic and make sense. I personally don't see much to nitpick.

Well the zanpakuto are just physical manifestations of a soul reaper's soul, so that makes sense why everyone would have one. The thing that I don't get is why can they fly in some moments, but not in others. In various fight scenes, they will be floating in midair while exchanging banter and flying across the battlefield , but sometimes they can only just jump fairly high. My prime example would be in the second movie, when this castle is starting to float REALLY high into the air. Well, one of the characters says "Oh no, it'll take forever for us to get up there. There's no way we will make it in time!" So they start to run along the path that twists around going up. Someone (can't remember who) gets to the top, but then gets knocked down a huge distance. Then out of nowhere, just flies back up. Why couldn't that just happen in the first place!?
