Basically the servers for Destiny won't be going up until the day of launch, which seems a little risky to me. As far as I can tell that means any problems the servers have will be effecting day 1 gamers, ie the ones who preordered. And if SimCity taught us anything, it would be to do preciecly not that.
But to my larger question: does it smell rotten to anyone no review will be coming out before launch day?Seems very convenient if the game turns out to be shit, that tons of people will buy it without knowledge. Now one could make the argument you should never buy a game without reading a review or two, so buyer beware. I dunno. I just can't shake the feeling that Bungie wants to sell thousands of copies before any reviews can actually get out.
Do I think they planned it that way? Probably not. But I do think they're not going out of there way to get reviews before launch.
