No Man’s Sky update 6.4, titled The Swarm, is a community expedition update built around a new alien threat

Hello Games has revealed the newest update to No Man’s Sky, called the Swarm update. Sean and crew were posting bee emojis to hype the upcoming patch, and to no one’s surprise, it is not actually a farming update.

Instead, the new Swarm update to No Man’s Sky is about fighting a swarm of hostiles threatening both space and planets alike. To counter the threat, three new factions appear that players can choose to join. These are the royal, the sage, and the weaver.
