No Modern Warfare 2 Delay for PC

From Robert Bowling's Twitter, good news for PC gamers - "No delay on PC for Modern Warfare 2," says the Infinity Ward community manager, debunking earlier rumors that it was on hold for two weeks past its original drop date.

But that's not all he said "You'll also have Prestige Mode in PC as well as lots of Steam support," Bowling writes. No word yet on minimum PC specifications, but "hopefully" they will come soon, he adds.

I say that this is the pure liquefied awesomeness incarnate (wow, that's a lot of adjectives) and it hopefully won't affect the sales because to be honest, I don't want the kind of people who won't play a great game because it got delayed to add copyright.

It's too bad CoD has gone from being a piece of PC gold to PC fans worrying about being jerked around on their platform. However, I have to say the new CoD gameplay doesn't feel right on a PC, and it fits well for the consoles it markets itself to now.

Shame he also said it will not support dedicated servers or modding, was quite disappointed about that.

I think marketing to consoles was the best decision IW made. COD4 wasn't as appreciated on the PC as it was on the 360 and PS3.

It unnerves me slightly, I'll admit that... I'll definitely be waiting a few weeks to see how reviews and such go, that's for sure. Luckily I didn't yet pre-order it.

i reserved my copy for the 360 today that made me super happy. Im getting a gaming pc on Monday but still probably just going to play the 360 version
