If it does, I'm going to have to import it again, hopefully not. Word on the street is, there are going to be two different versions, one with blood and one without.

God I hope not. Not because I need blood to enjoy it, just because it was crap censoring which left nothing to the imagination.
It wasn't censoring. Blood was added for the US. Coins and ashpiles were how it originally was in Japan; the question is whether this is because it was censored in Japan and that version got ported to Europe, or if he originally intended to use blood.

Personally, I'd like to see the option switchable, with coins as default for Japan and Europe, and Blood default for the US. Just to be consistent with the previous game, and give everyone the option to play the game the way they want to.
It was censoring. The blood wasn't added, that is how it was originally made, then the coins and ash was added to censor it. Suda had been hyping the first game for some time, and said it would be more violent than Manhunt 2. Then I think some of the higher ups bricked it and censored the thing in the more sensitive regions. And if you look at all of his past stuff, he doesn't shy away from violence.

Suda made both versions and doesn't seem to have a preference either way: http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co.uk/article.php?id=2690

honestly sometimes i wished i could turn the blood off in NMH.

The reason why I can't believe that, is because I remember when he said the Japanese version, well all of them, would feature blood, and when he wasn't developing the US version of the game, but "developing the game". I feel if no one said anything to him, the US version would have been universal. And if you take a look at Killer 7, IMO it's obvious which one he really wanted from the start.

And yes, a blood and gore switch would be fine, but two seperate versions caters to two seperate audiences, sales wise that will probably work better, though a switch on the M version would be fine.

I never knew the first game was censored to be honest. So far it looks good. If there's normal Beam Kartanas, longer BKs and dual-weilding ones, what do you think the 4th type which was mentioned will be? I'm wondering if it will be a projectile weapon due to the other 3 being melee weapons.

Double bladed lightsabers beam katanas?
Triple Beam Nunchaku?

And the first one visually was completely censored, the ashpiles irritated me. If all versions had it, I wouldn't have minded in the slightest, but the US was getting the original work, and I was getting this.

Considering Henry and Shinobu are meant to be playable, I have no clue what the fourth weapon might be. I don't think it will be projectile, Shinobu has that covered.

Hmmm... Well, it looks like it'll work. I just hope that the game succeeds, this is a risky step.

I must say, I appreciate Suda for being the only developer to understand the pure awesome that is the suplex.

You know, at what point does something cease to be an homage, and start being a blatant rip-off? At what point does something cease to be "retro" and start being a huge step backwards in gameplay? At what point does something cease to be satirical, and simply become what it's satirizing? The answer, of course, is No More Heroes/2.

At what point does a person on the Internet stop passing judgement on something he hasn't even played, and acts like a normal person who doesn't have the answers to everything?

The answer of course, is never because this is the Internet.

I dunno, but that sounds a lot more appealing than a lot of the crud on the market right now.

I must wonder why they went the route they did with the job missions.

Random Employee: "Mr. Suda, one of the more common complaints about the first No More Heroes was that the jobs were somewhat boring. How should we remedy this in the sequel?"

Suda 51: "Hmm... Make them 8-bit."

RE: "... Couldn't we just make them actually fun to play?"

Suda: *pulls gun and shoots Random Employee in the face*
"8-bit, I say!"

Wow.
He may have actually found a way to make this one even worse than the original.

I shouldn't be too quick to judge, he'll actually have to put in work to make this one worse. These minigames might be okay if I don't have to do them in between every boss battle and if I don't have to drive through the most monotonous sandbox ever to get to them.

Has suda made any other games? All I know of is no more heroes and killer 7.
Yeah, a few. He started working on Fire Pro Wrestling in the early nineties but I think most people in the west, me at least, only heard of him with Killer7.

As for games that are distinctive Suda51 titles that you might be able to track down, there are a couple. Michigan: Report from Hell for PS2, or just watch it on Youtube. A first person survival horror game for ps2 where you control a cameraman filming a report. Flower, Sun, and Rain which is a PS2 adventure game that you can get for the DS.

Actually, I have played it the first one, I played it for a couple of hours, and then got bored/frustrated with it. I don't claim to have the answers to everything, but I didn't like the game, and thought that it was ridiculous.

Im in the old US of A and I would rather have people spill coins rather than blood.
