No more internet!

Right, I couldn't find anything similiar on the search bar so here goes.

Hypothetical situation; you wake up in the morning, turn on the news to discover, for some unexplained reason (or you could make up your own reason) that there's no more internet! It has ceased to exist. What do you do?

Me, I'd have nothing to distract me from finally getting a job..

EDIT: Let me add another question. How do you think society would come without any internet?

I'd go outside and interact with people, like I used to before everyone went online.
It would also benefit gaming as developers would have to go back to the good ol' days of local multi-player, hard copies, and finishing their games before releasing them. Piracy would die, DRM would die, Digital Distribution would die. It would make gaming better in every way.
Newspapers, gaming mags, and music stores would come back. It would be a new golden age for humanity.
*Realizes just how awesome things would be if the internet stops and beings plotting terrorist activities to destroy the internet*

I would start to cry. My best friends are on the internet. I would probably hang out more with people in real life though. >_>

I'm pretty sure society would collapse. At least partly. We're so dependent on the internet for pretty much everything these days.

I'd sit on the lawn and wait for all the people freaking out because they can't check there Facebook accounts.

Cackling madly as they realize outside of facebook and Myspace they don't have any real friends.

Then maybe i wouldn't be so lonely anymore....

Be a bit confused, consider going outside, then remember they're's litteraly nothing to do in my small town, watch some news to see what was going on.



Although, you have to think, with no internet, thousands and thousands of megabytes important data would be gone/inacsessable, people would be freaking out, killing themselves, eachother, etc.

You have to remember that this isin't just the ability to browse sites, but the whole internet! I mean, it would be worse then that time the tubes got blocked.

I would most likely learn to play guitar, jump the grand canyon on a rocket-powered unicycle and become president If I didn't have to come back to this and many other sites daily for updates I probably would accomplish a lot or just sleep all day.

Ok, fine, I wouldn't die, but I wouldn't be very happy. I love the internet more than a person probably should.

Though, I get the feeling society would crumble without internet now. I mean, that would mean no more MySpace! Do you know how many people would kill themselves just because of that alone?

I asked this question of people in my history class when I was a freshman. Or atleast something similar. I asked what would happen if we had a massive black out and ALL technology failed and we lost all archives of how to recreate it. How would we live? I said this after figuring out how much we rely on technology. They laughed called me stupid and said it would never happen and if it did we would just live how we used to. Unfortunately people called me Blackout kid from there on out until they forgot about it but to me it was a perfectly legitimate question.

Going back to your question. I would probably go out and buy a few guns and wait for the apocalypse to be over so that I would survive the people who can't live without it.

I'd phone my girlfriend, work out a plan to get a load of money before society completely collapses have her come over here with said money they watch as the collapse of society begins.
