Well that's good to hear. Maybe now they can focus more on their awesome IPs, like Battlefield.

Most movie tie-in games are either mediocre or just plain bad. There are some decent movie tie-in games. The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers and The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King were pretty decent movie tie-in games that EA released. It is a good thing EA is doing this. They are more focused on making their own games than making a game based off of a movie.

Yeah - why is it that Mirror's Edge doesn't get a sequel when something like Dead Space does?
Thats because the developer of that game, DICE, has got a lot on its plate. It just came out with Bad Company 2, the multiplayer for Medal of Honor and it is creating the new free battlefield, all while constantly upgrading their Frostbite engine (which other games really should start using). That is not easy achievement to get all that done and sequel Mirror's Edge. It will hopefully get done, but within a realistic timeframe.

Brilliant move EA. I'm liking you guys more and more these days.
I know, they have really turned themselves around. It seems activision is the "bad guy" now after they force 3 very popular franchises into a constant reign of sequels (Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk).

Ten points for Gryffend- I mean... EA!
Harry Potter games where the best movie games probably, mostly because the early ones ignored the movies for the biggest part.
For EA, yes.

But the best movie tie in game was one everyone ignored.

The Warriors. Other than Golden Eye, that's the only other movie-game that I can think of that is actually good.

Surely I can't be the only one thinking that Mirror's Edge needs a heavy dose of Assassin'S Creed style shine and polish. Make the game free-roam, and if the city really is under control, have you as a character work on missions to free areas. Explore the city on the ground for hidden collectables, secrets and such, and use easily accessible inside elevators to travel to the top for some parkour missions, or more free-roam. I have a feeling that giving players more choice in the missions they do, and more things to actually do, (interwoven with a relatively tight story) would improve the game ten-fold.
Mirror's Edge was a work to be applauded. Go, EA; make a game to be celebrated!

Wow, thats an interesting picture. I figured satan would have more horns and like, black leathery skin. Hrmmm.

Maybe spending all that time in hell is making him try and make good with humanity.

Quick, someone alert Hideo Kojima and Square Enix!

Dead Space had better reception and made more money.

Yay Capitalism!
Blame the players, not the form of economy. Not only would Mirror's Edge be received the same by socialism or communism, it might not even have been made.

They tried. They failed. Now they will use their experience to make better games. Hopefully.
