I've not seen this reported on the Escapist yet, but I'm sure many of you have heard.
Batman: Arkham City will not have a multiplayer component [http://www.destructoid.com/batman-arkham-city-is-a-single-player-only-experience--194054.phtml]. It had been heavily rumored and pretty generally accepted that the sequel to Arkham Asylum would feature a co-op mode, with one player possibly taking over the role of Catwoman. This will not be the case, according to the developer.
I, for one, am happy to see a game refusing the notion of an obligatory multiplayer component. I'm even more happy to see developers refusing such a component because, as Sefton Hill says in the report: "I can honestly say it would not have been possible to deliver Arkham City the way we wanted to if we'd have added multiplayer".
But what about you? Is this a miss at an opportunity for a unique kind of co-op experience, or are you pleased with this decision?
