No MW2 Hardened Version for PC?

When I bought MW1 I had no intention to buy the special edition. That was a bummer, since CoD 4 was all great and everything. Instead, I have been looking forward to the special editions of MW2. When the news came, I was a little disappointed about the content in the middle version (no way I would buy the Prestige edition) but hell, it had an artbook and a box that looked more "awsome". Since then, I been jumping through hoops and waiting for it to be available.

That was 3 weeks ago and it has yet been available on any store I've looked in (mainly onlinestores but still). I got impatient and googled on the matter. First link that came up was this [http://www.totalvideogames.com/Modern-Warfare-2/news/No-Modern-Warfare-2-Hardened-Edition-For-PC-14435.html].

So, why has Activision and IW start partly ignore the PC? After all, the franchise started on the it. Or is it a good thing that the PC gets less rubbish and expensive versions? Though I don't really see a reason for the cut down since it is rather hard to pirate a pair of Night viusion googles.

I've seen at least 3 threads of this already, its getting kind of old. I don't know why they didn't provide it, but knowing Activision lately, the dicking around they seem to be doing is too much to handle.

Why do you people care so much about these special editions? The last I heard it was the same game.

Who knows? There really is no reason, all they would have to do is make a few more of the CE boxes they've already making for the console versions, change the platform marking and put in the PC disc instead of the Xbox one. So really, there is no good reason I can think of.

Exactly. My brother is getting the prestige edition for around 105 euro just so he can get some novelty night-vision goggles that will probably break in a week.

Here's a solution; buy the game, go to a shitty army store, buy some shitty goggles, write MW2 on it.

If i had to guess your better off without shitty nightvision goggles. Just buy the damn game and be happy. I'm sure you wanted the game before you heard about the goggles. So don't complain about not being able to get something you never knew existed until after you had made up your mind. There are more important things to worry about these days.

As mentioned in my original post quite clearly, I'd never considered buying the Prestige edition with the goggles since I do not crap money. I'm only whining about us PC-gamers getting somewhat discriminated (if I dare say that out loud).

I swear these goggles cost the same, if not slightly more than the military ones which you can probably find in any good surplus store. And I'm also sure that the military ones are smaller and don't make you look like a jack arse. Besides, the ones in modern warfare look nothing like them.
