I'm a normal guy. I just prefer to lie down in my rubber panties while I dry-hump Mein Kempf to help me sleep.

Normal people are always the minority in an intelligent forum. At least, that is what I have found. Most intelligent people I meet tend to have a mental quirk because of their intelligence. A way to deal with it, if you would.

Either that, or the water where I live is wonky. I know the air is.
Yeah, apparently there are alot of people who are classed as genius who are also depressed because they believe they have figured out most of the things that drive most other people like: Religion, Family, Career, Life, etc.

Normailty is based on what the majority of people have in common, for example "normal" intelligence being 90 - 110 or is it 80 - 120? Although 80 seems too low to be classed as normal, surely.

I'm autistic (Means in short that I'm smarter than the average human yet I'm less sociable than the average human as well), so I don't consider myself normal. Nor do any of my friends and people who know me really. As it has been put before on this thread: Normal is just a concept, an opinion which a person has made based on their experience. All things considered normal could actually just be considered stereotypical in reality.

As for normal people on the escapist, there probably are some, but whether or not they're a minority is questionable.

Everything that can be said about normalcy has been said here already. Even so, I don't know if I'd call myself normal. I usually spend my days at school, doing homework, playing games/guitar and taking walks. Pretty "normal" so far, eh? Well, I also play DnD, I've recently gotten very into star wars, I get pretty good grades, I actually take time to listen and give advice (rare here) and I listen to everything that isn't techno or rap, with Lemon Demon and Metallica amongst my favorites. I am also a furry (flamers/ trolls - give it a rest...) and I've got another fetish or two. I can also be very socialbe and nice if I want to, but I prefer my own company/ the company of my best buddy. I also relate to/ care more about inanimate objects, animals and fictional characters more than a lot of real people. In addition I've got hints of OCD and I believe ADD.
Does this make me normal or not? On one hand, normality is subjective, though on the other hand, "normal" here is almost synonymous with "douchebag/asshole" (or at least what I define as such).
On one hand, I could be running down the street naked, clutching a hamster and screaming "BOO IS OUT FOR JOOO!" or I could be always sociable, excersise and conform to the musical tastes of my peers (or whatever passes for "normal" these days).
...Ok, better end this before it gets even more ranty and disorganized. Hope I brought something valuable/useful to the discussion

I severly doubt that there are many people on this EARTH with no defects whatsoever. With that being said, define normal.

I'm not diagnosed with anything.
Small chance of depression.

Otherwise, I'm your normal and generic cynical guy.

Not really. The reason I'm here is BECAUSE of a disorder in the first place. Guess which.

Normally normal isn't the normallity. As in most people have at least one fucking disorder or they are infact perfect making them not normal because people hate them for that anyway

The last thing I would want to be is "normal".

I like wool, but don't think I'd want to be a sheep.

Everyone's definition of normal is different; to me, "normal" means going with the crowd, being a faceless mannequin controlled by peer pressure and having no intellectual consciousness.

Your definition is obviously different. I don't have any severe mental problems (or at least, I don't think I do - decide for yourself), so I guess I could be considered "normal".

I don't have any disabilities and I don't have any characteristics that stick out from a crowd (but I do have some bad ass glasses!) but, if you knew me personally, then you would know that I'm not what most people would call "normal".

Err...I can't really be bothered to read the rest of the topic, but I consider myself normal. I don't have anything wrong with me fortunately.

Actually, I have recently decided that I've been in a coma for the past three years and you are all figments of my imagination.

I also compose music in my dreams.
