And I was just starting to feel that I liked Ubisoft. They *do* release some good games every now and then. But this is ridiculous.
The no-DRM idea was great. Look at other DRM-free games (eg. Sins of a Solar Empire). They are as hit by piracy as anything else. That doesn't stop them being successful, though. The way you make DRM-free work is to give the customers a reason to buy the game over pirating it. Sins of a Solar Empire does this by only providing updates to paying customers.
This move by Ubisoft has guaranteed that I will *not* buy this game. Punishing paying customers for piracy is a joke and a bad one at that.
Now I'm off to find a torrent.
