Except that at the end of Fallout you bring back a water chip, saving the entire vault, but the Overseer turns out to be a huge cock and tells you that you can't come back in ever, basically because you've become a wise badass and you're a threat to his control.
Ah but you are not the vault-dweller. You are still in the vault living a safe life. =)

Here's an idea for the series: Instead of deciding the winner through judges decisions, you have a vote and we can vote on whoever we think made the strongest argument. Then you can release the results in the next video? Of course, if you still took a spit take you'd automatically lose. Great video like always.

Well in that case great, but then I'm living in that society where what the Overseer says goes. Our friend left the vault and saved our asses and we're just supposed to discard him like trash? I can't see how a group can be led by one individual in such close quarters without challenge and opposition. Afterall the Overseer is near enough a dictator, running the vault with the instructions he has been given.

But what the overseer says goes right? I suppose growing up in a vault you'd be blissfully ignorant of any other kind of leadership. But then thanks to the Vault Dweller and the Overseer being a huge dick a lot of people left the safety of the vault to follow him, the ones that stayed behind overthrew the Overseer and in the end I believe they were captured by the Enclave.

I'll take my chances in Rapture. Obviously not everyone in Rapture lost their marbles and Jack managed to splice without going insane considering he shot himself up with everything!
If you choose the evil options in bioshock you will see his skin change toward insanity, and you get those super-powers he kept aruging by brutally killing brainwashed little girls who feed off the dead, what if you became them while growing up in rapture?

Easy way to beat the Rapture argument. Before the age of 10 you'll probably be snatched up and turned into some grotesque form of humanity because you aren't the only one shooting fire. Rapture is like the wild west with less morals and super powers.

And I'm assuming Adam hates Cowboys.

I'm not saying it's all sunshine and lollypops in Rapture, but I'd rather be a super powered psycho than an unprepared, oppressed and ignorant citizen of an underground city. But initially ADAM and EVE was widely available to citizens of Rapture and for a while I'm willing to bet it was a slice of heaven. Until the whole New Year incident of course... then things took a turn for the worse and I'd probably become a Houdini Splicer or something ¬_¬

God damn it, kyle sucks at arguing. I couldn't even tell if they were talking about post-game rapture and vault, or pre-game rapture and vault.

This one needed a NSFW stinger. Also...yeah, Kyle probably should have thought a little harder about his argument before presenting it.

For example: ridiculous matching jumpsuits! Hilarious vaguely Biff-related bullies! Your Goddamn dad is Liam Neeson! Also, nobody has spliced in some genetic code that, with a word, controls your actions or turns off your heart. And let's not forget how awesomely weird your life would be if you grew up in vault 69 (1 man, 999 women). Or if it's your thing, vault 68 (you probably have to be REALLY into gangbangs or man-on-man action though). Also, grow up in Rapture and odds approach 100% that you go crazy and get horribly killed by some dude before age 25 who, as mentioned, murders you with a swarm of bees.

The winner clearly should have been the vaults.

I think the best call for Kyle would have been to pull out Vault City. You throw out a vault that became a thriving city, then you just win. Plus it's already opened up.

Considering my love of playing outside as a child. I'm going to go with Rapture... well a deep sea diving suit is KIND of like going outside.

also, CONGRATULATIONS DAN!

Man, this wasn't even a contest. Do you even know what the vaults were like? There were 122 public vaults and only 17 were built to spec, so your odds were only a little better than 10% that you'd be in a place where you'd grow up a normal guy and not in a freak experiment in which you end up vomiting cockroaches or turining into crabman or listening to a bad comedian, forever. Yeah, there are things like Vault 15, which is pretty much normal, but even the nice control vaults can come out wrong, like Vault 8 or Vault 20.

At least is Rapture you're shooting fire while things go to hell.

Now that I think of it, I can't wait for the 'pepsi vs coke' NRA episode. I also remembered that the radroach thing from Fallout 3 only happened because they had actually opened the door quite a few times before. Also, I think I'd like to grow up in the vault in New Vegas, Vault 22 I think it is, where all arguments are decided by chance.

Vaults for sure. I loved the settings in Fallout 3, the tutorials in the vault was cool, and the birthday party was awesome. Out to the wasteland is not too bad either, I could go to New Vegas to gamble, just need to get a fake passport. What's not to like.

Last time I checked Fallout 3 was not the only Fallout game...

Last time I checked Fallout 1 and 2 featured vaults...

If you're going to have a debate about something, do a little research first.

Curiously, each week I seem to find myself rooting for Kyle. Funny that it keeps working out that way.
But yeah, I'll take Vault-Tec over Ryan Industries any day of the week.
