I have only contempt for my fellow humans, and even more so for ruskies, and a DOUBLE for civillians, so this made me scream in joy as the blood was sprayed out of their frail bodies and shot the crawling people without thinking at all. Those who begged for mercy got the knife.

This wasn't anything important, I knew it was only a game, and I was an Undercover AMERICAN agent so i shouldn't give less than a shit about other people, especially russians, and that made the immersion great, because i felt like a genuine American PRICK.

I killed everything and laughed doing it. Make sure you get those pesky innocents who hide in the corner as well.

Top Tip: When you get up the first level there is a balcony to the terminal exit. Try and beat the other terrorist to the balcony and you get free reign to kill about 50 of them. They didn't even try to run away!

It's still a game. Nothing has changed in the last few weeks. I still didn't find it quite as fun as nuking all the innocents in Megaton, but I think it's because that was more cinematic.

I didn't shot at all. I looked around, quite shocked, waiting for someone to ask me why I wasn't shooting. By the time when went down to the ground level I shot at some guy who was crawling away. It was a instinctive reaction from playing too many FPS games but the shot didn't kill him, so I stopped firing.
So you left a little pixelated dude to bleed to death, slowly and painfully, instead of finishing him off quickly and cleanly? Nice, good to know you're a little sadist.

OK, new question, why are people so moral about this? You can't claim that video games don't affect people if you let them affect you - if people can't get over this, then the people who say this kind of stuff encourage violence win.
Maybe it's because developers are trying hard to make their 'games' a little bit more than just 'games'. Yeah, they are pixelated, they are just in a game. But like an ign editor mentioned, it's only a cheap cop-out argument to say that "hey, it's a game, so it's ok if we do something nasty in it".

This scene, was more than just a game. What the writer and game developers obviously aimed for was to make you more determined to go against Makarov and his cronies, but of course, once you find out how shallow of a character Makie was and how the story turned out to be, I just couldn't take that scene seriously anymore.

Shot everybody I could, why not? It's not really any different from mowing down innocent bystanders in GTA, or any other game for that matter.
Got no plans to do anything like that in real life, and isn't that what games are for?
It's all a big fuss over nothing.

I played my role and shot as many civilians as I could, because I know that it is a video game. I don't understand why people make such a big deal about it. I also accidentaly shot a terrorist and got killed pretty fast.

I fired about 10 inches above everyone's head (anyone ever noticed that in most 'real world' games everyone is exactly the same height?

Tried to kill the terrorists but didn't work. Did take out the SWAT teams.

Makarov told me to tone it down a bit, I was starting to scare the other guys.
Ahahahahahahahaha! That's most likely how I will play when I buy the game in a Year's time.

I started blasting before I was told to.
Hell, I would install the game again just to play that section. It was probably the only fun section in the entire game.

I pretended that just prior to the level I had made a bet with Makarov that I could kill the most civilians so I bolted out of the lift and started gunning down everything I saw

I found it hard to care about a set of civilians that only have four types of shirt between them

This was taken way too seriously, it was a good part, i killed everyone, it didn't make me a bad person, now the killing spree i actually went on, that did.

Was it so hard that the only fun part is the part where you can't die?

That was a joke if you didn't notice.

Enjoyed blasting the civilians, its just fun to do something you arent allowed to do. Doesnt mean I am gonna kill people in real life.

And I always wanted to know how terrorists feel. The fun part was trying to kill the people running away from the Burger tank shop. I thinks it was called that.

But this mission is the best thing Infinity ward has done, its different and a whole lot of fun.

Was a great level, loved they way you walk through slowly, gave it a great feeling.

Just about as much fun as throwing molotovs at pedestrians in Saints Row2 :D
