The new Miley Cyrus song Wrecking Ball. Dammit I cannot stand that song (covers of it are a different story) but I still dislike it to no end. It makes me wonder how people enjoy it. All I can see is the damned music video every time I hear it.
I guess you can say the popularity of that song... came in like a Wreaking Ball...

*silence*

I'll see myself out... Then again, I would say the same thing to the song "Baby" by Justin Beiber... or just Justin Beiber in general... (More on the formal than the latter, since I do not care about Justin Beiber in general...)

I was essentially dragged to see "47 Ronin" by a bunch of my friends who are a bunch of wannabe samurai :p
the film is just bad, they took what was a classic legend and made it into a boring CGI filled fantasy movie. The sword fights were just genuinely uninteresting, and the only halfway decent part of it, the whole demon cloth powers thing, was only in the movie for a few minutes at best. The worst part is that it isn't even offensive enough to get too pissed off about, its just the apex of mediocrity

Christian fiction.
I don't think you needed to add in fiction there...

I'm sorry. In response though I can honestly say that our little indie group has been asked to make games of questionable tastes. Example; "Hey guys I want you to make an Endless runner called Sugar Daddy, you play as a blonde running down the street and for extra points you pick up 'sugar daddies', women 'll love it".
Seriously, in the office I'm notorious (in all meanings of the word) for the Pin-ups I draw, and I was the one who was most vocally against this. The concept art made me want to fallate a shotgun.

I'll probably get some hate for this, but basically any Death Metal band where it's just the lead singer screaming into the microphone and doing what I can only guess is his best impression of a vengeful Babylonian God:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDKwAz-Em_k

I like rock and fast paced songs, and I like the instrumentals, but the moment the lead singer starts doing...whatever the hell that is (I can't really call it singing) I have to turn it off. Do people actually listen to that stuff for anything outside of a mosh pit?

The movie "Rampage"

Uwe Boll should have been a giant red flag. It was a giant red-flag but I thought I heard that Rampage was actually pretty good. That could not have actually happened for there is no way someone could think that this was a good movie.

If you haven't seen it (you lucky bastard), it's about a guy who goes on a killing spree. Think "Falling Down" if that movie was the worst movie ever.

It was terrible. Terrible isn't the correct word. It was one of the worst movies that has or will ever exist in this galaxy and galaxies undiscovered (and that's giving it too much credit).

You know what the worst part is? There are some POWERFUL moments in this film. This film had potential and some of the scenes showed this potential (the "hair salon" and the "Bingo Hall" for those of you who were unfortunate enough to see it). In the hands of a monkey who ate too much lead paint, this could have been good. Unfortunately, we got Boll.
Oh god, I think I saw this in HMV just a couple of days ago.

It had the words "The movie falling down should have been!" on it.

I disregarded it completely because NOBODY. FUCKS. WITH FALLING DOWN. I love that movie.

Honestly, it's at this point I realise that I haven't seen a legitimately terrible movie in ages. I have damn good instincts when it comes to movies, built up by years of being a film fanatic. Even the bad movies I've seen recently were so bad it's good.

But after a while of thinking, there's one film that comes to my mind. Saw: The final chapter, also known as saw seven or saw 3D. I have the boxset of them all, because the series does contain some gems, the most obvious one being the first, and the effects were always damn good.

Except in saw 3D. Old characters are bought back, survivors of the other "games", which is an interesting idea, but ultimately doesn't go many interesting places. The plot is nonsensical, the acting terrible, and most of all, GOOD GOD WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE EFFECTS?

Did all the blood have to be silly bright red, bordering on orange in order to make the film 3D? Did the special effects guy just quit? Did he go insane? I don't know, but they go from some of the best horror special effects in the other saw films to some of the worst in this one. Every other saw film has some redeeming quality that makes it worth watching at least once. An interesting character, a good performance, creative kills, an inspired story, but nothing works at all in saw: the final chapter.

Hmm, i'm surprised people are citing Bioshock Infinite. I agree with them completely, it was complete shite both in gameplay and story *but* I know there are people who are alright to suffer through the shocking gameplay and can enjoy the story by tactically glossing over the gaping plot holes. These people are insane but they exist.

Ugh, Infinite was the definitive example of something failing to live up to its massive potential and there is nothing I dislike more than someone who phones in something that should have been interesting.

There was so much that could have been built upon and fleshed out if they had bloody FOCUSED on key themes instead of just grabbing irrelevant shit and shoving it into the plot to detract from the half interesting stuff. Just look at Persona 4 if you want to see a reference to creating and more importantly maintaining good theming.

Do NOT get me started on Infinite's ending either, it's broken on a fundamental level.

Right on topic, on topic... Some of the crappier, unknown, usually creepy romance manga come to mind. Sometimes when i'm really bored at like 3 in the morning I open a manga site, set the filter to Smut and just wade into the absolute crap that comes pouring out into my eyes. It's funny for all the wrong reasons.

Also more generally I can't believe there are people who like that particular art style commonly used in more girly manga. You know the one, the ones where everything looks like someone sketched out the pages and handed it in without adding any bold lines onto the pages at all. Then again, maybe i'm too manly to understand the artistic mind of your typical female.

And please, don't mention classic works of literature or classic movies and so on. This is for when people who watch/read something clearly don't actually enjoy it that much, and if something's a classic then it's pretty clear a lot of people do like it. So do not bring up that book you had to read in high school.
But you're asking for what we think other people don't enjoy. Clearly it's going to be tinged by what we don't enjoy. Other people might very well like The Iliad and The Odyssey, but that doesn't mean that I understand why they enjoy them as they're presented in the original epic poem format.
That you don't understand why dudes like me love The Iliad and The Odyssey doesn't change the fact that you know we love them, though. What I'm looking for here is either stuff that pretty much nobody likes, or stuff that people claim to enjoy but you feel they're not being honest when they say it.
That you (and others) don't understand why dudes like doesn't change the fact they know they love it.

And what if am I to feel you are being dishonest about liking The Illiad?

Your argument is poor, for it applies equally when turned around on its head. I do not see what this thread is other than "I don't like certain stuff, therefore others must not like it BECAUSE I SAY SO!". Considering people, actual human beings, claim to have liked F.A.T.A.L. and even acted the part, I am willing to guess they actually did. Given that, I would assume anything can actually be considered "good" by someone somewhere.

I hate screamo but there is one song that actually has some acceptable screamo parts in it for me.

I never really cared for the song... All I know is the wrecking ball is a fun joke and the song is on Rock Band 3 as a custom.

I haven't read any of the books, so I cannot comment on that.
I've read all of them actually. Got bored one day... They are written pretty well honestly and some of the vampire/werewolf ideas are well thought out... The main issue is the daylight crap was only added for 'romance' and the main female character was just completely awful... I honestly believe the best part of the books was when it was in the werewolf Jacob's eyes instead of the main female character's eyes... I mean at least he was actually hilarious with how he was trying to piss off a "friendly" blonde vampire purposely.
