As long as it doesn't turn as a bad copy of the Matrix games (wich were god awful), I'm good.
It sounds really interesting and it could work as a game, let's just hope the curse of bad films made even worse games doesn't rear it's ugly head.
This. I hope they wont screw it up royaly. As i really liked the movie and it's concepts.

Can anyone else explain to me why every level what weightless except for the snow level? Still don't understand how they screwed up the physics so badly. Movie was overrated. It was decent but not great.

What I had more problems with was the killing yourself shit in the deepest level. You needed a drop at all the other levels, but on the last one it's enough to shoot yourself? And if you die on the earlier levels you actually die. That doesn't make any sense.

Interesting news. I don't know how they'll make a good game out of this, but if they don't rush it, it has the potential of being good. We shall see.
You didn't die (again just re-explaining the film) you got sent into limbo instead of waking up, so when they were in limbo and shot themselves they woke up, granted that doesn't make much sense still but hey, fun movie

OP: From what they've said it sounds interesting but forgive me if I'm still hella sceptical

Ha, this is awesome. As all the jokes/references.

I thought the world of Inception was really too good to not return to. There could have been an entire first movie about extraction, for example, that would have made for quite the action movie (if not quite the head scratcher).

A game would be really fun, but... Nolan doesn't know much about games. I'm worried he would try and realize that games aren't movies the hard way, or pass off the game to some lame dev that can't do anything fun with it. And maybe this was just an aside. Who knows.. but it's fun to think about.

Potential to be incredible, likely going to suck.

But, hell, so long as a ton of care and work go into the story and non-linearity (think of the many many multiple worlds of .hack or Disgaea), this game could provide as great an experience as the movie, or, dare I say it, an even better one.

Awesome, so long as everybody knows what they're doing who works on it. Inception was one of the decades best films.

That would be such a strange game...I can only imagine the amount of headaches it could induce from trying to understand if this was real, or not lol

nolan so far has managed not to sell out his artistic side and if he wants to do a game i think great, he seems to want to be involved with it, having someone of his vision and caliber involved in producing or writing a game set in a universe he created, and if he can pull it off, maybe it will lay a good stfu on the people that say games are not art and then cannot be art.

but 2 years from now i mean the guys got batman 3 on his plate the next superman and isnt there some other project he is involved in besides those two? i would say maybe 3 or 4 years depending on how hands on he is with the project.

Well, obviously. Ever since I saw that movie I thought it would make a great game. Hope they don't fuck up!

I like the idea of a new set of characters the most. Means that they can't/won't be tied down by the plot of the movie, and just focus on the awesome concept.

Come to think of it, also means we won't have to endure horrible Leo and Tom Hardy impressionists as well...Hoorah!

I look extremely forward to doing both puzzles and shooting projections walking on the ceiling.

Seriously, if they can make the game equal to or greater than the movie...

My mind would = Blown

Urgh god... They should make a game based on the idea in Inception, so like totally unrelated to the film plot, just focusing on extractor agent people... Or based on the main character's earlier days

I agree fully. Nolan is the man. I love how naturalistic his films are aswell... bugger all CG and building a real rotating hallway for the fight scene and REALLY blowing up a freakin building

Uh....That's exactly what they said they were going to do. Well, they said it would said in the same world as the film, but it wouldn't follow the events of the film.

I think this could be a masterpiece if they did it right.

Well Nolan is an absolute mastermind. And yet I have no idea how well that would help making a video game.

But I'm dreaming about the most awesome combination of Christopher Nolan + Blizzard. Just imagine the possibilities @.@ (whether it's an Inception game, a Starcraft movie or something else, it would be fucking awesome).

I loved Inception and saw it 5 times in the cinema. Nolan is a genius.

This game could be amazing if they pull it off.
