Non slutty superheroines?

It's coming up to that time of year again where I need to start thinking about what to wear on Halloween (yes, I know its a bit soon, but I plan for Halloween like how other people plan for Christmas), and the theme where I'm going is Super Heroes or Zombies (as in optional super hero zombies, think Marvel Zombies or Blackest Night).

And I am stuck.

Its not that I cant think of any good character to go as, I do read some comics, it's just every single one of my favourite female characters that Id like to go as dress like total skanks, if I'm honest. Now I'm not fat (I'm about a small/medium), but I'm not model skinny, and I don't mind wearing revealing clothes that much I guess, but I just don't think I'd be able to pull off skin tight spandex, or a pvc catsuit, or what is basically just lingerie.

So my question is, can you help me think of any super heroines whose costume isn't just underwear?

EDIT: I don't mind low cut tops or short skirt type of things, mainly just not costumes that show a lot of ass or midriff (lookin' at you, Emma Frost). Oh, and it would probably be ok to be a comic book villain as well as a hero.

Carmen Sandeigo. Well, I like to think of her as a Hero, but a lot of people may disagree. You do get to wear a sweet outfit. Alternately, go as Mass Effect's Shepard.

Silk Spectre from Watchmen is comparatively modest. I still wouldn't let my daughter go out dressed like that if I was older, grumpier and had a daughter, but she does at least leave something to the imagination.

Callisto...depending on your definition of underwear. She has pants. Karolina Dean. Debrii. Dust. Nocturne (TJ Wagner), Venus, Witchfire, Gertrude Yorkes...

These are not picked by coolness, by the way. And it depends on what pictures you see.

The Female from 'The Boys' comes to mind, though she's not exactly a hero. But then again, the 'heroes' in 'The Boys' aren't all that heroic themselves. They're practically villains themselves.

All you'll need for her costume would dark hair (you can always get a black wig if you need to) a black trench coat and black work boots.

Also, there are a lot of female Green Lanterns, granted, none of them are from earth, but many of them are pretty humanoid. But, you could just make up your own Green Lantern costume, without having to be some specific Green Lantern. Or really, you could go as a lantern from any of the corps. Just pick your favorite. Green may be the most recognizable, but if you've got nerdy friends (especially if any of them are DC readers) they'll probably catch on.

I can't for the life of me think of a super heroine who isn't wearing either latex or lingerie.

I'd say the best you can hope for is to find one who wears, like, standard clothes, or a trench-coat or something over their sexy lingerie/latex, and do that.

Dunno what's scarier. That this didn't come to my mind or there's someone else around here who knows about IXA.

On topic....hmmm...that is a bit of a toughie. Artemis isn't bad, so long as you mind some stomach in view. I could also suggest Jessie Quick. Speedster and JSA member. Definitely a C-list heroine, but the costume that comes to mind isn't bad. Firestar, Soranik Natu's not bad if you've got short hair and are willing to tan up a bit.

If you're looking for Zombies, then Jade. She was a Black Lantern and I don't recall the outfit looking horribly slutty. Of course there's always Neil Gaiman's Death from Sandman. My girlfriend does her for Halloween when she dresses up. Reminds me that I should find her a good Ankh this year so she doesn't have to make one...

Mind you, alot of superheroine outfits simply are what they are. Admittely some ones like Power Girl and Supergirl go a bit over the top, but the skintight and the v-necks are never quite going to go away. I suspect it's going to be an issue of finding the devil you can live with.
