You know that scene, that one scene. The protagonist loses someone, drops to their knees, the rain is pounding onto the ground, the camera pans out then she/he looks up into the air in disbelief and yells "nooooooo!".
Well I got to wondering and I started trying to figure out which the first movie was to do this. I'm not just talking about them saying "NO!" really loudly. I mean that legendary scream with a sweeping cinematic camera shot and everything, maybe even a little slow-motion, the iconic moment that every movie ever made today seems to copy from.
So far, no such luck.
