It's between L4D and Portal. I can't choose one. AAAH!
Epix zombie mauling vs. Cool puzzels, humour and awesome enviroments.

I'm going with the launch title. It is a fact that, love it or hate it, Half Life is one of the most significant titles in gaming history. Also, for an 11 year old game, it still looks pretty damn good.

I'd say Half-Life 2. If Half-Life 1 was there, I might choose that but...

Half-Life 2 because I can still play through the games and enjoy them, and I'm massively looking forward to Episode 3. That, and I can't get enough of Half-Life.

Tf2 or The Hl series... both quality.
Portal was good too but not big enough and replayable to get on the list.
L4D is fun, but gets tedious. (waiting 7 months for the SDK was a biatch)

As great as everything they made is, Half Life 2 is a masterpiece, pure and simple. It just has great variety and is overall incredibly well made in about every way.

CS because that came about as a mod...and now it's one of the most played games around the world. I don't see tournaments held for Portal, though that would be interesting what a multiplayer Portal would be like. Plus CounterStrike is just awesome.

TF2 is still the one that I play on a regular basis, so I go with that.

And the fact that it served as a base for all of the Source Engine games is a feat unlike no other.
And don't forget Gmod!

Also, that double negative at the end is bothering me. "Like no other" is what I believe you mean, "unlike no other" means it's not different from anything.

Half-life 2 would have disappointed me big time if i would have bought it for getting a great game (I bought it for having access to the Mods- Mods for HL1 were insanely great)

Left 4 Dead was good fun and all. But after 100.000 dead zombies i tired a bit.

Portal was fun, but REALYYREALLY short. Valve seem to have the annoying tendency to not tell the story to the END.

Counter Strike Source: Well.. yeah.. a few hours every odd month is ok.

Team Fortress 2: BEST. SHOOTER. AVAILABLE. Really... i can't stop blowing dudes up as a demoman.. holy crap i am nearly at 70 hours as demo alone... and countless more with the other classes. DAMN addiction *g*

can't decide between portal and tf2. But I love the humor in the games. Humor is rare in videogames but make them so much more enjoyable. Thats why I like castle crashers and saints row 2. Its no fun to take yourself seriously.

Valve didn't make CS.
Umm yes they did.
It was a mod originally. VAlve just acquired it.
That's like saying Left 4 Dead isn't a VALVe game, because they accquired it.

VALVe hired the CS creators. Cliffe and Le became VALVe employees. Under VALVe CS and CSS continued to develop and evolve.

AND WHERE IS HALF-LIFE 1 ON THE POLL?

Gordon Freeman, Chell and the counter terrorists have no redeeming qualities except for being badass and being in badass games. That's why I chose Team Fortess 2, because of the personality of it.

Garry's Mod wasn't made by Valve, Team Garry made Garry's Mod, they just use Valve models and maps and textures, that's why Valve gets half the profit of Gmod.
