Yes, I'm sure you'd like to waste your entire time on a computer rather than enjoying the point of being on a cruise ship. That said, if you can afford to go on a cruise ship I'm sure buying a WiiU isn't exactly going to break your bank account.

Maybe I'm just too miserable to accept technology when on traditional holiday trips.
Its more of a "its all on ship you dont have to worry about bringing yours" type of deal than "oh i cantt afford it at home so ill paly here".

cruise ship is one of the sloest ways to travel. theres only so long you can sit in sun on a deck and stare at horizon. there is a reason most peopel take books to cruises to pass time.

I hardly doubt the Wii U's small library is much of a problem. You know, the benefits of backwards compatibility and all can really compensate for that.

On that note, it's a pretty clever form of advertising. At this point your shoving the console right into the faces of hundreds of potential customers that will finally know that the Wii U is actually a console and not a peripheral add on.

And as we all know, good word-of-mouth is a very powerful tool. (Now all they need is holiday adds. I mean the 2DS had fucking television advertisements.)
Nintendo believes pretty firmly that the library is the problem. In fact, they've been so bold as to claim that it's their only problem.

I was talking about in terms of the article. The writer stated that the lack of Wii U library can hinder the kinds of party games it can play on the cruise lines (providing Wii U party doesn't come out by the time these are all implemented.)

At the very least they have backwards compatibility so they can make up for the party games in that regard. Barring that, I guess NSMB would be good for the kids ( or Pikmin if that's their fancy I guess pretty)
